In this video we will show you how to remove, replace and where the knock sensor is located on Mazda CX-7 CX7, Mazdaspeed 3 and Mazdaspeed 6 with 2.3 turbo engine. We demonstrated how to remove and replace knock sensor on Mazda CX-7 but it will be the same procedure to to replace the knock sensor on Mazda Speed 3 and 6 with 2.3 turbo engine since they share the same engine.

I changed the knock sensor on a 2008 mazda cx7 today. Just remove the coolant tank, oil dipstick and voila! Did it in 30 minutes.

The problem was putting back the serpentine belt.the tensioner pulley was hard to push and the bolt was stripped.

from what i have read, one of the symptoms would be poor fuel mileage
