I'd guess that it'd probably lock you into the star dance animation after a single frame of being grounded, so it probably wouldn't work

@@blunderbus2695 But when Mario grabs the ledge during the falling animation, he spends a few frames above the platform in freefall before actually touching the ground. So if the bomb pushes Mario while he's still falling, he would never touch the ground.

Note that after being softlocked during 2.3 years (10:30), the first thing Mario does is to go into a cannon to kill a Goomba and then breakdance. Guess it's a kind of way to relax after being stuck for all this time. Great video as always Pannen.

If you collect a star, then Mario is unaffected by everything, including knockback
