I would go as far as to say Dillinger is one of the greatest bands of all time. They managed to pioneer an entire genre, finding a way to make chaos sound controlled. They are utterly timeless, and have influenced a whole generation of bands. I urge anyone who hasn’t explored their discography to do so, because every single album they’ve put out is brilliant. Also, if you’re planning on doing more mathcore reactions, definitely do the band Rolo Tomassi. They’re also fantastic.

I saw Dillinger play the LA2 in like 2001ish I think and I recorded their whole set and it was and still is one of the most intense shows ever. Brutality and pure force.

Seen this band 3 times. In 2013, 2014 and 2016. Met the bassist every time. Met the whole band in 2014 in chicago. Was so epic. Wish i could see then again.

Always got heavy Mike Patton vibes from Greg's vocals which makes sense since Dillinger made that Irony is a Dead Scene e.p. with Mike Patton prior to Greg joining.

Classic example of "dudes who are scary onstage but actually pretty chill". I wish they were still around. There will never be another band like them.

This was the band that started my love for metal I remember hearing one of us is the killer and when I lost my bet when I was 8 years old and fell in love with the band I still listen to them every week at least once

Why did this come in the algorithm? I have no idea. But I'm glad to see the gospel of DEP being spread! Do Periphery! Myspace music at its finest :D

Anyone who says diIlinger aren't metal, don't understand metal. At all. There's a live clip in a mall you need to find, it's raw and wild and epic. You should both deep dive Totally Unicorn, an Australian polypunkymetallyvibe band. They supported dillinger on their last Australian tour.

@@Lezzyboy87 they are, they came up in the NJ hardcore scene. And either Ben or Dmitri said that Dillinger was essentially formed to "out-Deadguy Deadguy", who are one of the greatest 90's hc bands

What makes you say that exactly? As a giant Dillinger fan, I'm holding off on not being defensive lol. Rorschach and what not are still mathcore, but who do you think Dillinger are derivative of in terms of metric changes and shredding?
