Know before you buy! Lennox Air Conditioning System Review. Model# ML17XC1 and CBA25UHE

I purchased the Merit Series ML17XP1 Heat Pump April 19th 2024. Cost me $9k installed. The outside unit shakes badly. The tech said the motor or fan was out of balance. They replaced and the new parts are worse. Now they are saying this is normal and they don't build them like they use to. There is a problem with these condenser fans and the Vibration it causes reduces reliability and longevity.

I have this unit runs great very quiet cools very strong comes with a strong warranty 10 yrs parts and 3yrs labor I know there is hate for Lennox but this is some new and improved stuff here like I said, it cools very efficiently. It’s very quiet the key is the install if you get a good install, that’s the make or break of your system.

LG compressors became very popular. Manufacturers use different compressors. LG, Emerson and Copland the most popular. We picked up equipment 3 days ago with LG compressor, next day the driver picked up the same identical condenser that had Emerson compressor. No manufacturer likes to rely on only one compressor brand as anything can cause disruptions. If something happens they have another brand of compressor manufacturer on the line. Does that make sense?

The Lennox info pamphlet says the Seer2 is 13.80 not 15…. 🤨

The models are ML17XC-036-230 matched with CBA25UHE-036-230 The AHRI SEER2 rating is 15.6 AHRI Certificate #212510735

14.3 and 13.8 are the minimums for seer2 depending on btu's. 45k or less btu's is 14.3 and over 45k btu's would be 13.8.

These two guys are just a mouth piece for Lennox. The control circuit side of these units SUCK. 3 Years old twice a year I have had to call a tech out to fix something on the control side.

Got ECM motor went out on Lennox Elite in August 2024. Fast of Florida wants $2K to replace the motor. If i want a new system, Elite will run me just over 22K in Tampa Bay area. This is just an fyi. As to this video presentation, if these guys are installers, when there is an issue i wouldn't want to deal with these guys, obnoxious, always interrupting. Either let the guy speak or present yourself.
