Yes very Asian. Not just on Oahu. Statewide is very Asian because 99% of native Hawaiians ARE asian as well. It’s the migrations that had happen before. Hence the flock of Asians in general to Hawaii. The way of living is very eastern with a little mix of western. But the eastern perspective with locals are more dominant than western. You live in the city, so you’ll see more tourist of course. Go visit the outer islands and you’ll see the True Hawaii. Love that you’re experiencing it. God bless

Isn’t Hawaiian Samoan ? Is Samoan Asians ?
@lw1814 Жыл бұрын
@@milano888 no, Hawaiian is not Samoan. They both come from Polynesia but not the same. They have Asian influence, especially Hawaiians but they’re not considered Asian per say. Most Hawaiians are Asian because of immigration etc. but not in and of itself.

I just did my astro cartography last week and what do ya know.. my MC Moon landed right in Hawaii. It all started in 2012 - I was obsessed about visiting Hawaii, even though I had never been. Then in 2017, I did a past life regression and during my session - it was revealed to me that Hawaii is a very spiritual place for me to go/visit. I just visited Maui in December 2022 for my birthday - and let me tell you!! I FELL IN LOVE❤ - EVEN THE VIBES AFTER GETTING OFF OF THE PLANE 🥰 I AM PRAYING for an opportunity to move to Maui (at least 6 months out of the year) Of course, I'll visit the other islands but Maui was so private, secluded, peaceful, serein...(indeed a very spiritual experience) As you mentioned, the vibes match my personality and what I've wanted to experience from a group of humans. Genuinely nice people...man them island vibes mixed with their culture😊
@nessforbes7400 Жыл бұрын
I still think it’s weird hearing foreigners say they “vibe” w my culture. It’s giving…… colonizing vibes. I’ve never gone to Starbucks like yasssss. I feel just so in tune with myself. The LA palm trees help me be myself. They don’t. This is weird….. you’re not from here. You are believing a fantasy. Have at it! 🎉 but just letting you know natives think this shit is weird. Like you don’t know yourself. Lost baby. Glad you enjoy the culture and land. I’d employ you to actually find yourself and not someone else’s culture. It’s not yours….. Them people don’t want you there. You’re only allowed because of the colonizing government. You’re a Privileged colonizer. You don’t get a pass because your black… if it was a Karen I’d be saying the same thing. It still applies here and we tell you foreigners and you pretend it’s find because you have guns and money. You’re spiritual journey shouldn’t be at the expense of others livelihood and their land. Please stop.

Absolutely. And it’s been going on for a couple decades lol. It’s just getting worse. I don’t think people really understand the price you pay to live in Hawai’i, especially if you’re not from Hawai’i. The laws are different as well. So you definitely have to take that into consideration too. Don’t assume the laws are the same as your home state/current state etc. Hawai’i is the most expensive state to live in where NY comes a very close second. The more you know…

Granted, Mexican restaurants here are Not "authentic" Mexican taqueria's but are 3-4 star eateries...IF you know where to look! .....My personal faves, include but not limited to...Taqueria El Ranchero, Surf & Salsa, Barrio Cafe, Los Chapparos, Alejandro's, Chile Relleno, Ono Loco Tacos & El Mariachi. Now, don't profess to be foodie or wanna be food critic. I just appreciate good, fill me up foods that are full of flavor that don't $$$$...IMHO

I object to you saying that there are "No Good Mexican restaurants to be found on island!" My question to you is...WHERE have you been finding your Mexican fix at? Because there's myriad of good Mexican eateries on island... Alejandro's, Loco Taco's, Taqueria El Ranchero, Surf n Salsa. Granted, these are not "authentic" Mexican taqueria's but Hawaii isn't Mexico, NM, TX, AZ. But that doesn't mean these owners don't put the same same sweat, toil & heart into their offerings. And I know for a Fact that most of the proprietor's of these places immigrated from Colombia, Mexico, C America & they busted their tails to do what they do!
