I dated this girl for a while one. I was one step away from worshipping her. I'm not that talkative of a person though, and I'm awkward with expressing feelings because I always had to hide them. That was probably what ruined it. My friend, on the other hand, was smart, nice, and not QUIET OR AWKWARD. He was also my closest friend, and he was actually helping me get over my anxiety and insecurities and self-doubts. That made it sting all the more when she left me for him. ThatViolaKid I just went through the same thing 2 weeks ago and its painful. It really hurts when the other person doesnt see the same way we see them. I'm still trying to recover by making myself busy with more practices and self-heals. This Vlog is so real and relatable. Thank you for sharing and be open about your emotions. I could be a selfish and terrible person when i say this, but I'm actually feeling a little bit better knowing that there are other people having to deal with these kinds of stuff. I guess it is painfully right to say Happiness takes works!

Hey man, I'm so sorry this happened to you. I'm a musician too and I think that when your whole career is based on bringing the depths of your feelings to the outside this kind of stuff hits you in the gut in a special way. I've been rejected more times than I care to think about, so I have an idea what you're going through and it sucks. I know hearing this sort of thing doesn't really help while it's happening, but here it is: now that I'm happily married I'm glad things didn't work out with the other girls I've dated. Hold on because it gets better, whatever direction you decide to take your romantic life in. Let this experience make you a more beautiful person and a more beautiful artist. Good luck

I am so moved by your realness in this video. Life can be hard. We are human. We feel. It doesn't always go our way. It is so incredibly refreshing to see someone in your position be brave enough and real enough to admit that your struggling right now. It makes me like you even more. I'm so sorry for what you're going through. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to just turn ourselves off until it passes? But we can't and we gotta go through it. But take comfort in knowing that it will pass. People move in and out of our lives. Sometimes people stay too long and sometimes they leave before we want them to. But take comfort in believing that the next amazing person who will enhance your life for the better is right around the corner. You just haven't met her yet but she's there. The reason I know is because you're amazing. You put goodness and honesty and decency out in the world. That means something and someone will recognize that quality in you and love you for it. And even though that does sound kinda stupid, it's no further from the truth than the fact that you will overcome the pain you're going through right now. Hey :-) I hope you're doing okay. I really love your channel. I have a little question: I Play the violin for 9 years (I am 17) and in the last years I finally figured out how to practice right. And I would say that I am not bad (also not good, but okay) and then there is this little problem..I can not play infront of other people. Even in my violin lesson, Orchestra rehersal, or even when I am trying to play with a friend or Family.. Well I am working on myself and it is getting slightly better.. But I hate it so much because I get so nervous that I really can not play. Do you or anyone else got any tips? Thank you so much. Oh and sorry for my bad english. Hey Drew! I feel you on this 100%. I met this guy that I really, really liked last year. I told him that I liked him this year and he told me he just wanted to be friends. I felt like we were going somewhere, so when he told me that, it came completely out of the blue and I was so shocked and sad. It's been more than half a year since that, and it's been 4 months since I told him we can't be friends for the time being 'cause it was too dang painful for me to have him as a friend. The pain has gotten a lot better. But the idea that I honestly thought it was going somewhere and it didn't, was truly quite earth-shattering. Like you said though, everything happens for a reason, and after I got rejected by this guy, I ended up finding this orchestra ensemble in Tokyo to play with, and making friends with this girl who's a really good violinist and now I have a group of people I can play with in Japan- when I didn't even have that back in the States. It sometimes still hurts to think that I was so convinced that the friendship with this guy was going nowhere, and it didn't, but really, had it not been for that incident, I wouldn't be where I am now- which is practicing the viola more- being surrounded by more like-minded people, and studying more Japanese than in the past 3 years I've been here in Japan. I just wanted to share my story, just in case it'll in anyway help you deal with your pain, even if it's just a little bit. You are an awesome, truly inspiring and amazing indiviual, and a super duper awesome viola player. Thanks so much for keeping it real, and I will keep you in my prayers as always. I'm sorry. My life has been a study in going with the (sometimes shitty) flow for a long time. And you know what? You are absolutely right that in spite of the pain life goes on and we grow. You know you do not believe this that your saying. You just sad. The only thing that you said that was okay is "that everything happens for a reason" Yes it does love is a struggle. Sometimes just because you care for someone and want that person to be in your life doesn't mean your in love with them. You just love her and care about her probably want her to be in your life but your not in love with her because you wouldn't act like how your acting. I believe in fate. The true person that you are met to be with will come unexpectedly. You stay fighting but not for her though cause you did nothing wrong she just sees that she is not in love with you and your not either. People see this even though you cant see it yourself you don't know what you was looking like.

I think music is also good for situations like that, at least it helps me a lot closing my eyes, laying the bow on my strings and seeing what comes next.. do you think so, too? after that, I have the feeling that I at least created something with this emotion.. anyway I know u your ways to deal with it :D could you share some opportunities how you deal with diffcult emotions or situations?

When the emotion is strong enough, it's hard to even find the motivation to make music haha. It definitely has to dull a bit before I'm able to shape it into anything
