The dark paint on the tip of the door when in vehicle mode is different. It angles up on the Takara but is straight on the KO

Ok, after watching a bunch of your MP KO vids trying to decide which to get, this one on BlueStreak sold me. His color combos just looked the best to me. I made the mistake as a 14yr old going into high school, that I was too old to be playing with toys and decided to throw out all of my original G1 Transformers, GI Joes, Thundercats, Lazer Tag and probably others. One of the biggest mistakes I've made in my life. Well your reviews have sparked a renewed interest in bringing these awesome toys back into my life. It will be a slow process due to lack of extra cash, but it should be fun. Can't wait to get my hands on this baby. Haven't transformed anything in over 20 years. Voltron is in my sights next!!! alienrefugee51 They are a good stand in on display but lack the finish of a real one. But for the price you cannot beat it. Unless its an old 80's Lionbot, those were very well done and had great thick chrome, but that can vary too. The ones on ebay for about 100-120 shipped dont have chrome on the black lion hips, just stickers and some of the pain apps are a bit sloppy but again, its a big heavy diecast figure for 100, cant beat it, go for it

Awesome review as always. I have an official smokescreen, and a ko, and I was compareing the two boxes, and you are correct. The blue text and color on the back of the boxes is a more purple in the kos box. In fact, in the back of the box where it says cybertron diversionary tactician in blue lettering, its very blurry and purple color on the ko

I just got one for $50. The moldings and colors match the Original version, even down to the micro L and R. Well maybe not the red plastics 16:24 its pretty close to the KO ver. The eyes are super crisp and the paint is great. However, it did not come with that slip of paper, the box art is kinda blurry, and it only came with the one gun. Its a mix of OG and KO.

The wheeljack KO is superb i had no issues with mine except for the shoulders which as you showd was more my fault not tabbing it on properly over a crappy ko

Came here from a search for MP19 Smokescreen KO reviews. I saw your Prowl KO review, and it was pretty good stuff!! I'm many moons late to the party, but I recently scored all three of the "Super Z Bros." in KO form...or so I thought. Before I explain why, check it: my Prowl had a faulty door joint on his right side that came apart in less than a month...the break is pretty clean, so it had to have left the factory that way (especially since the fitting was suspect right out the box). Doesn't matter to me...still a cool figure. And I didn't have much connection to the character. Smokescreen, however, I had the G1 toy of, so while I missed the old Classics mold, ya daaamn riiight I got the Combiner Wars & Generations Selects versions!! As for the Masterpiece, it's *definitely* the KO, the parts fit of the weapons themselves ain't the greatest, but that "H2713" on the Prowl KO is present there, too. So...my MP18 Streak. Just like my MP40 Targetmaster Hot Rod, what was supposed to be a KO turned out to be a legit Hasbro Asia release. Had the Chinese printed information sticker on the bottom of the box (Hot Rod's was on the back, unfortunately) which had a link to the Hasbro Asia website. It also had a second copy of the instruction sheet in Chinese, in addition to the stock Japanese sheet. And those lil' missile launchers? These were black with silver paint instead of red with silver chrome like the KO has.

Just got my KO. Nice and thight and pretty good paint. But alas, the red "horns" are painted really thickly and the face needs some x-acto action for molding leftovers. Good enuff for 25 bucks.

There are three different Tigertrack figures out there, the official Takara one, the leaked factory (rejects) and the KO copy. my friends at www.tf-direct.com has KO tigertrack for $29.95. I have a review of it on my channel

It's funny to see a KO video where the KO is exactly the same or better in some instances. Both are Chinese made so in my opinion the original is poorly manufactured as well. They sell the original at a premium while the KO is the exact same quality. You would think the original would be far better for the asking price. Takara Tomy should be made in Japan where high standards are expected and high prices would be justified. Clearly the word 'Masterpiece' has lost all meaning in today's world.

The blue on the box under the logo is more purple no the KO. The KO has warmer silver paint. My Ko head lacks detail the oryginal has.

RocketPunchArmy So I got my Streak KO the other day and overall dig him a lot, but have a few issues and questions. The arm joints, specifically the ball joints into the body, seem a lot looser than the legs. The legs are tight and good. Despite the looseness, the arms do hold most positions well, but there are a few that are loose and fall. Is this normal for the arms and if not, is there something that can add tightness? Also, the door windows are not so flush with the door in alt mode. They seem angled inside and there is space between Lastly, the panels on the inside of the feet seem a little loose, or don't click into place. I did notice there are a couple screws, so I may try tightening

alienrefugee51 If you pop out the arms, you can coat the ball joint in krazy glue and snap back in. If its not too loose, I would leave it. The windows not lining up is because they are not being pulled up all the way before transforming, even if you do, they kinda get knocked out so it's trial and error. I was going to say to try and tighten scrws for feet panels.

I've been posing him like a super-model in robot mode and taking pics, so it's been a while. Lol. One last thing... Are those 3rd party fists with movable fingers worth getting? With those attached, will he transform to alt mode ok?

Do you think there is any chance of a Takara MP Jazz in the future? I know Binaltech has one, but I feel like they're too big. The MP scale looks good to me. Jazz was my first G1 Autobot, so he's sentimental.

It all depends on whether porches give takara permission to use the same vehicle model to use.they (porsche) have said they don't want their designs used in an "alien robot war" and I can't see takara making an mp jazz if they can't use the same 1980s alt mode, then again porsche and vs are now merged and vs gave permission for the "beetle/bug" to be used for mp bumblebee so who knows

so are all the KOs (like on Ebay) all the same....I mean from the same company or are there a couple different companies making these. I'm seeing them for about 30 bucks to 50 bucks. I assume its one specific company.. I just ordered 4 KOs, minus Prowl who I actually bought 2 of the original from TRU web when it came out. I hope they are what you say but for 30 bucks each total...shouldn't' be too bad (hoping). They should look good next to Masterpiece Prime. Waiting for Wheeljack! do a review ASAP when you get one please....thanks

Its cheaper for me to get these shipped for Japan rather than USA. Are there more than one KO company producing these boxed KOs? Really appreciate a little guidance to avoid buying a KO from someone producing complete garbage

In the past Ive bought 3 same KO from 3 different places and they seemed to come from same factory so as far as I know, they are from same factory. My advice is to always use Paypal for protection against shady sellers. Reputable sellers will always label KO as KO

The paint is the worst part, KOs have the orange peel effect. Basically they gave it one big thick paint job that is the wrong way to do it and results in a rough "orange peel" effect. Also, that piece of paper is a survey and warranty, so I doubt they'd include that unless they are actually trying to trick people. I would also recommend saying "Tah Kah Rah" not T'KARuh. But yeah.
