i also have like 4 different way that i produce, and which way have 3 to 4 way or techniques, one of them being sampling which is my top skill when it comes to making music, so when it comes to sampling i have 4 techniques which i learn through out the years so what i did was combine every sampling skill that i have into one also other then sampling, midi note vital plugins sequencer arrangement is my other way of producing, also live instruments recording is my other way of producing plus i do combine all my skills and techniques and blended into one unique way of producing which is what i call my own recipe

and by the way sampling does not necessarily means that you have to use someone else samples, you can actually make you own sample from scratch and use that!

Many thanks for the tips and tricks. If I would get Koala I would use it unconventionally to sample the most ridiculous things: the neighbours dog (barking at this moment), sound of construction sites, cooking appliances, speeding away cars etc. It seems the fastest way to get such sounds and then manipulate them so you can really get new, unexpected textures in music. Or even the most unconventional drums ever :D Keep on the great work!

This seems like fun for ideas and producing- can you see it also in a live setting to build things on the fly? (With some loops prepped beforehand from day Ableton). Looking for things that bop with the sax.

This is precisely how I've been using it, and boy has it been incredibly fun in a live setting! I have a live performance link in the description 🙂
@KlimLevene4 жыл бұрын
Kevin Allen yep saw that but there was a lot of menu switches or things that stopped the performance so I wasn’t sure if these would work when there’s an audience and you can’t cut audio.
@Khordmaster4 жыл бұрын
Great point. I would say that the number of banks the app gives you per session would allow you to be able to jam with many different "sets within a set" before having to load a new project. I think you can do say a full hour set within 1 (or 2) projects if you have it organized correctly (which I don't yet lol)

Good video I want to learn how to do my own music for my video’s and short films I was thinking about getting a MEDI keyboard Akai Professional MPK Mini MKII LE Black | Black, Limited Edition 25 Key Portable USB MIDI Keyboard With 8 Backlit Performance Ready Pads, 8 Assignable Q Link Knobs & A 4 Way Thumbstick is it worth getting? It’s like $119.00 bucks on amazon I think I can hook it up to my IPad or MacBook Air and use it on Garage band right or would koala be better?
@KlimLevene4 жыл бұрын
Would say GarageBand would be your best best for soundtracks. The MPK would work, I have one. Not sure if the new version has improved keys but they’re very plastic. You won’t get a lot expression but it does have velocity and you can def do a lot if it’s just midi input you’re looking for. For more expressive playing I would look into investing a little more.
