Just want to say I've watched this numerous times, paused and watched the same part over and over til I got it right. My grandma made some similar before she passed away so I have been trying to figure out how to make them. Yours is the first one I watched that was detailed enough and easy to follow. Thank you!

Perfect!!! We're financially tight at the moment and I've been thinking of making little bags of hand-made gifts for friends and family for different special occasions. This would be an absolutely perfect addition to a bag full of love!

These are loved by anyone you would give them to. Choose the courser netting. Generally the light colours are not good. Please show us in the FB group if you make them. 🥰

OMGOSH! I am SO happy I found this very pattern! My grandmother made these, they are the most durable ones. My grandmother tried to teach me when I was young, but I am left handed and I just could not get it. Now as I am older, I have figured out how to crochet, I have been looking for a pattern I like. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing! 💜💜💜

Thank you! I make them as gifts to folks, but mine were haphazardly made...not consistent. I really like your pattern and the way you cut your netting, and how you tie the strips together. Genius!

I like this pattern better than the one I've been using. When I'm cutting my strips I will cut a few larger ones to use as stuffing. I also tie on a different color at the end of a row for a striped effect.
@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet Жыл бұрын
When you tie your knots to join each new strip leave a longer tail to stuff.
@melodylager2485 Жыл бұрын
Using the longest length stitch on your machine, run a single stitch down the middle. This will hold your fabric together as you cut, and keeps your strips in nice neat bundles. When you go to use the bundle, rip out the stitch holding it together.

If you offset the edges, like cutting bias binding, you can cut into one long strip. 💕🌞🌵😷

I’ve used clothes pins to hold all the edges even and a rotary cutter. Works best with a friend to help cut.

Thanks for sharing. I have some green netting that I’ve had for years. I’ll have to see if it will work for this.
@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet4 ай бұрын
@@mhaen7539 I’m sure it will. If it is softer and doesn’t have a scratchy feel to it then cut the strips a bit wider. Some colours are not as course feeling and they seem a bit thinner to me so that’s why I cut them a bit wider.

Idk about all that I just use the 6 inch wide rolls and crochet right from the roll. Kinda helps to twist the tulle as you go .
@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet3 ай бұрын
I find the netting on the roll too soft and very expensive in comparison.

I noticed that you don’t count the chain 2 as one of the 24 double crochets. Is that correct? Thank you!!!
@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet Жыл бұрын
That’s correct. Some people count it. I generally never do. You could if you wanted. When you slip stitch to join then you would go into the top of the chain 2 rather than the first DC.

I have sold them on the past for 3 for $10. 3 for $12 isn’t unreasonable as prices have gone up.

@@NatalieRamelow sorry, I do not post prices. You have to charge based on where you live and the attention to detail used when making an item. Research what people charge in your area and make a decision from there. 🙂
