You never cease to amaze me. You come up with so many different styles of architecture, it's mindblowing. I would have loved to see 1 or 2 pictures of the previous hotel when you mentionned it. Just to see another work of your never ending imagination. Awesome job. Loved it.

Once there is a pool out back of the hotel. If you took the slides from Koali beach and placed them in it would be a nice callback. Plus it could be in the state of being installed by koali holdings. (citation needed for name)

You guys should come and visit me! I live in a house on top of a mountain in Arkansas and we have deer and the occasional bear walking around here all the time. We've seen mountain lions and boars on our night vision camera as well. We are surrounded by animals constantly. The deers even get along with our dogs; although we did have one of our dogs almost killed by a bear.

Rushing to stream whole series. It is interesting to see your interpretation on Indonesian architecture. Colonial buildings in Jakarta and Bandung and traditional (mostly coming from Sumatra). Really hope there will be buildings inspired from Kalimantan (Borneo), Nusa Tenggara (Portuguese-Spain colonial) and Papuan. Also hope you'd add marsupials and big birds since Eastern Indonesian animals haven't been representated.

Noted! (Well, screenshotted, anyway). Unfortunately the game lacks marsupials at the moment, but the architecture will be good to look into.

Lady: it's just a little bit too far away. Me: lives 700 km from the park and has no car, 13 hours in a train let's go. I had Pairi Daiza planned as my early summer 2020 trip, probably not going to happen at all this year now... wasn't planning on staying in the hotel in the park though, even though I would really love the experience, as a single adult it seems insane to pay for it.

Deer hanging out around your house... do you need zoos for that? We've had to chase them away from munching on gardens around here, and while it's a small city of maybe 55k people, it's still a city, not some cottage in the woods. Though I'm also in a part of the world where we have to put up danger signs in areas, as like 500+kg moose will wander blindly onto the motorway.

Having a hotel in a zoo is such a strange concept to me, because as far as I know South Africa’s zoos aren’t big enough that you need multiple days to explore it or interesting enough for foreigners to visit, we focus a lot more on game reserves like the Kruger because the biomes are already perfect for the native animals

If you want some inspiration or just have a look, in France, there is the "Zoo de la Flèche" (which means "Arrow's Zoo" in English) and this is its incredible lodges : www.safari-lodge.fr/ I went to this zoo some years ago, it was the most beautiful I've ever seen because the enclosure are just perfect and well design for animals and guests. Anyways, you've made an incredible build, as usual ! :3

In a way it feels kind of counter-intuitive to have a main hotel building that's this bland/generic. Several exhibit-buildings inside the zoo stand out more with unique features that give them recognizability in a way I don't see with this setup. Why would they cut budget or lower the effort for their resort-part?
@Silvarret4 жыл бұрын
I think you got a good point. If it was possible to work the accomodations more into the zoo I would've loved to. But the zoo is just too completed otherwise, there's not really any available space. I'm hoping to expand the resort area and make it fancier than just a hotel building, though!
