Kobe is the reason they won so many games during this run, making the “Carried by Shaq” people look completely ignorant.

@@DLo776 Shaq wasn’t better then kobe by 01 he was just huge so he had more miss matches that doesn’t make you better at basketball because you have a physical advantage. Vs the weak bigs of the east he had easy matchups he could abuse but that shit wasn’t flying out west. In 2000 he should be averaging 30+ playing toad mcCallough and dale davis, Austin croshere in the finals wtf, Shaqs the only guy to get glorified for destroying role players. When they played actual great bigs so west teams shaq was not performing like he was in the finals because his game is 1 dimensional asl and easy to gameplan against with the proper personal. That’s partly why from 95-99 he was being swept so damn much in the 2000 wcf he got beat by kobe in every statistical category during that game 7. Even rebounds and blocks completely outplayed and saved. Rasheed and Sabonis Made shaq struggle who was timid all game in the 2001 wcf kobe was the best player that series, Robinson and Duncan again slowing down shaq somewhat. Shaq called kobe the. Best in The world in the 2002 wcsf vs the spurs he struggled shooting 45% as a 5 is awful kobe was there best player that series, in the 2002 wcf Webber and divac also slowed him down. Kobe was outplaying shaq in their wins during that series. Games 1, 4, 6. Shaq wasn’t averaging those crazy final stat lines vs great bigs common ball knowledge. but causals and Revisionist history only care about the finals so this is never mentioned.

Its crazy to see how the game flows so different now..its insane that kobe was labeled as "selfish" lol all i ever see is the lakers running triangle offense and Kobe cooking within the flow of the offense for the most part. Now a days dudes are dribbling for 15 seconds plus and no one is called ball hog. anyway, Kobe was never carried by Shaq. it was a DUO, best duo ever.

Sheesh Kobe clutch 3 in game 3 put the game within 1 point with 10 seconds left then drives and make the right play for the corner 3 that won the game with 2 ish seconds left. Also, they talking about Kobe being in DPOY conversations this season. Lead lakers in reg season in total pts, fgm, ftm, asts, and stls. Lead the postseason in 4th ppg and most clutch player statistically in the 2002 postseason. Underrated season fasho 💯

Kobe's great D timing is in display. Blocking Pip, Derek. He looks smaller here than the previous year. Not becauae of the fro was gone but his legs looks shorter. Next series after this, Kobe just ran by the Spurs.

This is what I miss about the NBA is rivalry trash talk and they let their opponent know they're gonna take them out Hell these days teams don't even care about winning the division or home court advantage just care about getting into the dance I had a bad feeling when they changed the division winner gets home court in the 1st round rule Competitive rivals were gonna disappear 🤦

It’s like saying Jordan wouldn’t have made it out the first round with Scottie. Bro it’s 5 on 5. Not 1 on 1. It’s a team game. Great players always over shadow their Robin. Deal with it!

@@SwaaaggyB Exactly... yet Kobe get's critiszied for playing with SHaq... but no other great does.... Larry bird played with 4 HOF teammates. Kareem played with Michael Cooper, magic, and James Worthy. Lerbon playued with Bosh, Wade, Allen, Love, Kyrie, AD,e tc. Jordan with Pippen, and Rodman.. Yet Kobe is the only one that get's hate for having Shaq? makes no sense.

@@mart1n10601 how does Kobe get hate? If anything it’s Shaq who gets the hate for having Kobe. They both cemented their legacies as Alphas. 1A. Because they both won without each other. It would have been a different story had Kobe never won back to back with pau
@kinggraham8725Ай бұрын
I respect everything you said bro @mart1n10601 And to chime in, MJ was a great but he had Scottie and Rodman who are hall of famers. Without Scottie Jordan didn’t win anything. Kobe only superstar was Shaq and then when he left he had pau gasol who didn’t even make it out the first round when he played for the grizzlies. Everyone always finds a way to hate on Kobe when it goes to giving him credit for anything. It’s crazy man.

Kobe in game 3 had a -3 in his box plus minus, kobe didnt just lead his team in points and assists but also in blocks having 6 points and 5 assists in the 4th where he hit a 3 to make the game down to 1 and then got a game winning assist. All of this he was a negative on the floor, dont trust stats yall
