Kobe averaged 30 6 and 6 for the entire playoffs this year. On 47% shooting. Those aren’t getting carried numbers. Best player in the world at age 22.

As a 15 year old, I remember this 01 Laker squad was playing at a historic playoff level, and I loved every moment of it. This was one of my favorite wins during that playoff run. Young Duncan playing out of his mind, the Spurs desperately not trying to drop a 2nd game at home, Phil Jackson getting ejected, and the Lakers STILL fighting back to finally pull away at the end. After this game, i knew this team was on a special run.

They couldn't have been better than MJ and Pip if they only won 3 rings together and had the opportunity for more. Kobe and Shaq were some beasts, but I can't let you disrespect the GOAT and Pip, who dominated their era.
@kevtn8
@kevtn8 7 жыл бұрын
Number of championships here is irrelevant in this argument. The fact iis Pippen isn't anywhere near the level of player Kobe or Shaq was. It was mostly Jordan and his supporting cast whereas with these Lakers you know it was mainly about Kobe and Shaq and the supporting cast. At this time, Kobe and Shaq was the most dominant duo in the history of basketball. Even Danny Ainge said it was as if Jordan and Wilt teamed up.

I love when people talk about points or field goal percentages for today compared to this era. How would guys like luka, lebron, curry, kyrie, giannis, dame, harden, russ go at a defense like this spurs defense and dominate like Kobe did. Thats 2 elite 7 foot defensive bigs on 1 team, and Kobe is going to the paint and finishing any way he wants on them.

@John Zada III Kobe 33-7-7 on 51% shooting against d league caliber SG. who was Kobe facing in the west? the great Antonio Daniels? the legendary dereck Anderson? the HOFers jaren Jackson? how about vs kings? Doug Christie? really? that's great competition?
@imsljr420
@imsljr420 5 жыл бұрын
@John Zada III so you think 19 points by the 2nd scorer on the team is good? because people from your camp (the Kobetards) are always complaining that " poor Kobe won by himself in 2010 vs Celtics because gasol only averaged like 19 points" but yet you're saying 19 points is good. actually 19 points by Antonio Daniels just makes Kobe look weak on defense because Daniels only averaged 7 points for his career but yet vs Kobe he averaged 19🤣🤣🤣🤣. and again going your camps logic Terry porter was pass his prime. how many points did Doug Christie average? Kobe got to relax on defense against Christie. Shaq went up against the twin towers while carrying Kobe.
@imsljr420
@imsljr420 5 жыл бұрын
@John Zada III actually if your IQ wasn't so low you would know that that's the Kobetards logic. logic from your camp. you guys were the one's complaining that gasol only averaged 19 but now you're saying 19 by Daniels is great lol.
