+John Long He definitely was at MJ's level during stretches of his career. I'd still say MJ was better overall and had the better career/accomplishments and stats, but Kobe definitely was at his level from time to time. This series is a good example.

@@michaellynch5637 yes 🙌🏻 100% Kobe is top 5 to me but I think his “peak” was late 90’s older MJ level in 06 to 08. & 2009 as well as 10 he was as good as MJ wearing #45 in 95 for sure. Definitely a huge compliment for sure. Kobe’s unbelievable. Especially with his defense and top 2 skilled player ever.

Name a team that kobe has faced in his career when it was autimatic he was going to win that series, litterally every series kobe went through was extremely hard

Kobe was a beast in 08 especially in the playoffs and led a team with not too much talent to the finals that year!

True that. People forget Bynum didn't play at all in the playoffs and he was emerging as an all-star big man before his knee injury. Pau was certainly a star level player and Lamar had star capability but was too enigmatic meaning you didn't really know what you were going to get from him night to night. Everyone else was essentially a role player.

LOL MJ said he'd body Kobe before he'd let him score 80 points on him and that Kobe stole his moves. No way in hell Kobe would take MJ one on one.

@@sportjames23 He literally said quote: "And I don't think I'd lose, except Kobe Bryant cause he steals all my moves." So he DID admit that Kobe could beat him, because he said except Kobe Bryant. Yes, Kobe did steal his moves but he made them look better. Just because he stole his moves doesn't mean he couldn't beat him. but my top 3 is still 1. Jordan 2. Kobe 3. LeBron

If you think about it kobe won way more championships than lebron, cause kobe every single team kobe faced were extremely good teams, lebron has faced extremely easy competition in the eastern conference and yet he’s still 3-5 in the nba finals. People should count series like this as nba finals wins for kobe.

This was Gasol's first year in the playoffs and he wasn't as great until he went through struggles against KG. Odom should've been 6th man but Bynum's injury as well as Ariza's really hurt them. I'm sorry, Fisher, Radmonivic, Vujacic, Ronny Turiaf, and Luke Walton is not a good enough supporting cast.

Lakers bench would have been better if they didn't have key injuries. Bynum being injured meant no Odom off the bench. Ariza being injured took him off the bench. Lakers could have used Ariza to start at SF against Peirce.
