Kobe’s mentality was just different! I’m currently 6 months post right Achilles tendon repair surgery and I’ve watched this video practically everyday since I started my recovery. Such an underrated video of yours and very motivating. I ruptured my Achilles 6 months ago while playing basketball and I’m back on the court running and gaining my strength back!

You embraced the challenge and overcame fear.💪 I did the same things you were doing to recover. I truly respect your mental fortitude and resolve.🤝 Although you may be gone... you will always be remembered. Rest peacefully my brother.🙏🙏🙏

I’ve only been skateboarding for 7 months and I’ve progressed faster than any of my peers around me in the short amount of time I fell in love with this life 🛹. This injury won’t stop me from coming back and landing the trick that took me down. I WILL COME BACK AND J WILL BE BETTER THAN I WAS BEFORE. RIP Kobe, never knew what he went thru until I saw this video and I believe he’s my first athletic hero.
