IMPORTANT UPDATE: After repeating rows 1&2 - 83 more times (166 rows total), you'll need to work row 1 again before doing the bind off setup row. The written pattern has been updated to reflect this.

This is one of the best tutorials I have ever seen on brioche. I drove 2 hours for a class and still cannot do brioche correctly. Now I am ready to cast on! Thank you!

Fantastic tutorial. I'm anxious to give this a try. I liked learning the trick of neatening the end of that bind off edge, too!

I love the neat tricks you've shown with weaving in the ends- I should do a slipknot for all my future projects before weaving in the ends!

Oops; it did not save my comments; will try again. I am NOT new to knitting but am a Brioche newbie and the instructor of the class I took used your pattern. I admit this technique humbled me and I had to restart more than 20 times (not kidding!). But I finally got on track and was able to finish. I love the result. Please tell me how to add a pic; would love to share with you my final result.

Oh I'm so glad you finally got it going and enjoyed brioche! How fun that it was taught in a class too :) You can add a photo on the ravelry page with a linked project :) Thanks so much for sharing!

Hi! Slightly confused on the row after the setup since you are doing the YO before the SL1, but it is written and you are saying SL1YO. Is that standard practice and you just have to know it for brioche?

Overall, LOVE the tutorial, though!

This is a great pattern/tutorial and I cast on yesterday and can’t stop. I do have a question though, why on the BRK row you yarn over before slipping but the PRK you slip then yarn over? Written instructions both say “S1yo” but video says to yarn over first for the Knit row. Either way it looks and feels PERFECT 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
