Thank you for this talk, I found it really helpful and interesting. I wonder if Sawaki Roshi and Uchiyama Roshi's emphasis on 'thief/criminal nature' that sets this lineage slightly apart from orthodox Sotoshu, could be the influence that Pure Land Buddhism had on them? Honen Shonin and Shinran Shonin often emphasised the ignorant 'bombu' nature of themselves and people in general. Thanks again for sharing this talk.

This was fascinating and I am always interested in how things (philosophies/beliefs/approaches/spiritual traditions -- for lack of adequate language) are "integrated". Gassho!

It's interesting to go back through time perceiving where our basic understanding of things, concepts, basic assumptions, came from. And, how the concepts themselves developed, and influenced other cultures or philosophies or religions. This Yoga cara is so different from Platonism~ and, for example, to know how Platonism then influenced Christianity... It's quite important. Thank you for your talk ❤️. :))~•••• I like the absence of permanent essences- it seems true to my experience

The correct pronunciation of vijñapti is Vigyapti, and not Vinyapti.
