Celestion G12M-65 is my weapon of choice. I also hate the G12T-75. In the beginning of this video I kind of liked the Omega but it started to remind me of a G12T a little bit. Have you tried modding a 57 by taking the transformer out. The 3.7kz sizzle is gone and you can actually mic from the center of the cone again.

I think is the same as when you mess with the low end because signals are not in phase. The time delay is mimicking the distance between the microphone and the speaker, but the effect in this case is that you are cancelling the hiss...how is done? I also got lost there..

Bright can be great, but I don’t like it when the sizzle covers the actual sound.
@stevenhirsekorn34443 жыл бұрын
@@KohleAudioKult i think if you're gonna chop off the bass off anyway why not just mic it brighter like move it closer to the middle or even pull it back a couple inches from the speaker so you don't get as much low end from proximity effect. In cutting it off with a filter you might be losing some of the natural vibrance of what the speaker itself sounds like, so if you change how its mic'd to fit the frequency response of what you do with filters anyway you in theory could end up with something more natural sounding. Rock and roll being a natural spirit of rebellion i think it fits.
