Friggin awesome, those words at 6:50 in your video are all I wanted to hear. Looking forward to my swap. Got a spare briggs engine and a cheap mower with a blown Kohler engine and I'm looking at them like, can it be that easy? Looks like it! I've got the exact same blown Kohler, with the exact same "check oil every time" sticker that the previous owner obviously ignored. Thanks for sharing the video, keep up the good work.

Nice work! Any advice on my new briggs 19hp professional replacing a 18hp Kohler courage on a Cub Cadet LT1? Wiring looks slightly different but plug is identical.

Might be 1 wire to move.. but the colors of the wires should be the same, just match em up..

I change a koler off a troybilt superbronc and put a briggs off a john deere. Most everything was the same except for the exhaust. It's has been a pain trying to figure out how to get the exhaust to work

Some JD have the exhaust held in by 2 bolts, maybe drill holes in TB to match.. If it's a Problem with exhaust pipe not fitting, might try flex pipe.

If I pull off a single cylinder Briggs and put on a twin Kohler motor twin they will work OK ? wiring harness wise?

Sometimes, USUALLY THEY WILL. Check the connector, look an see what configuration the ouns are in. If theyre the same. U should be good. If not its a rewire. But u can still use the connector, u just gotta do some splicing. Make sure u hav power goij to backfire valve on carb( if equiped) or just do away with that valve. Theres a ton a videos on rewire. Tayrl fixes all is about the best ive seen. Not hard if u just take ur time.

I have a troy built pony. The engine is bad. It has a 17.5 briggs. Can l put a 15.5 koller on it. It's on a sears craftsman. I was worried about the pulleys and belt size.

Hav to measure the mount holes and crank shaft. They make a sleeve to make the shaft bigger.

Should work,, may be some rewiring, just pay close attention to the conector and wire color. U can also take the pins out of ur old connector and use that. Makes a clean look. Better than wires twisted together..
