So do you put the line clip off the back of the willow leaf which is attached to the ball? Then attach your line with just a spinner or apex on? 15-20 inches off the clip?

So, there is a question from a year ago not answered. Same as mine. You have the flashers on your downrigger ball, then what? Line clip, with leader? then the flasher and wedding ring or hoochie?

Hi it seems that everyone uses longer leaders for kokanee compared to trout is that right? What length do you use from the dodger or spinners?

D Kat, I've heard the opposite. The rule that I've used is 2 1/2 leader lengths of the dodger to a hoochie (due to more action) and 4 time for flasher to a spoon (due to less action). I may have it backwards tho.

I found an Ultralight, 7 ft Ugly Stick Professional baitcaster at Bi-Mart in Oregon. They work wonderful! I use them for Kokanee AND trout. They are available on Ugly Stock's website as well.

Late in advance but just use all the gear without extra line, i use ford fenders and a wedding ring, i snab them up like crazy, just do your own thing,

Rod wat month would be a good time to begin and go beach salmon fishing on ambleside? N do u know why pinks come every odd year?

Ambleside's coho salmon fishery depends on how low the Capilano River remains. It usually starts up around now and lasts until early September as long as it doesn't rain too much. Pink salmon runs dominate in odd years for most rivers in the Lower Mainland due to unknown reasons. The pattern was most likely established since the end of the last glacial age.

Difference in food abundance.

They are landlocked salmon. They have evolved their bodies to their environment. They are, in essence, Sockeye.
