I cannot get the thermostat icon to come back oon the screen. I see the snowflake on the right hand side and my fireplace stopped working. How do I turn the SMART opion on again please?

You should be able to push the 2nd button from the top. That is the thermostat button. Push once for "Thermo ON" Push 2x for "Smart Thermo" Push a 3rd time to go back to manual mode.

Same issue. I always use the smart thermostat mode . I Replaced the batteries. Now I cannot get any thermostat function to appear. The thermostat button doesn't do anything. All other functions work. This happened only upon swapping batteries. Swapping again doesn't fix it. Ideas?

@Stephen Guyette Same thing here! just changed the batteries and the thermostat icon disappeared entirely, touching the thermostat button doesn't do anything. Brought me to this video. Following this conversation in the hopes can hear of a solution.

Why Kozy Heat doesn't monitor and respond to comments on their instructional video is concerning to me as a new customer of an expensive fireplace insert with a crummy remote. They want 100% of their service to be through the dealers, in 2021, I don't think that is acceptable. I called my dealer, and it was explained to me that to solve this problem, you pop out slightly one of the batteries, then hold down the thermostat button (or the thermostat button and bottom circle button) and pop the battery back in, and it will reset the transmitter and the thermostat icon/option should now be available. Worked for me, good luck.

Hi. here's my problem. There is flashing red light right next to the reset button, it flashes every five seconds, and the remote does not respond. What does that mean ?

My remote is stuck in child lock mode! The dual button combo doesn't turn it off nor does removing the batteries. Help

I hate this remote. The batteries die on it all the time and I have to look up the instructions every time I use it!

Usually if the batteries are dying quickly in the remote it is because there is a power issue. Make sure to check the receptacles in the fireplace.
