A very typical and predictable version of this with basic anime would be to have katai be a girl, and then to randomly have a bunch of girls develop a crush on tadano . Then before you know it, the show slowly becomes some harem anime centered around tadano even tho no one asked or wanted But instead we get this and it’s amazing. I doubt this isn’t the first anime to do this, (at least not off the top of my head) but it’s very refreshing ☺️ and cuz we’ve seen the aforementioned thing I said above a million + 1 times
