In the past, I have seen many tutorials on this plugin and walked away confused about how to use it. I decided today to give it another shot and look up tutorials and yours came up. It is by far the best! Very detailed. You are a good teacher. New subscriber here. DAMN. I watched all the vids on this instrument and this one is BY FAR the best. You actually demonstrate all the features and midi options as the main focus, rather than scrolling through presets. Then when you get to the presets you actually show us how to make them our own. NI should use this as part of their "Everything" series. Thank you for your time and effort on this one!

Hi Bryant. Just bought this and your video is super helpful. One thing I wasn’t quite clear about. When you add a control key midi note, say C1, does it latch, or do you have to drag the note out below all the notes you want to have as mute, long, tremolo etc? And will the automation automatically record if you change the setting using your midi keyboard? It really is an awesome piece of software. Thanks again for making the vid. Pete

Yes, you’re referring to the key switch sometimes referred to as an articulation switch. They will latch. By its very nature, Automation will only take place if you recorded online or off-line. They won’t just happen. You could, of course just record the parts in if you have dexterity with your left and right hand, but automation will make it much easier and more precise. Hope that helps.

Hi, Bryant I just got Komplete 13 but not the Ultimate version. My version is just Komplete 13 and the version of electric sunburst in this one does not have the melody instrument. I may have missed it but you should point that out to those who may watch your video and buy lower versions of the Komplete 13 software only to become upset when they can only play with the preset patterns. For me, it was a letdown but I plan to upgrade the guitar software to deluxe soon.

I believe if you go into Kontakt preferences and enable your midi keyboard, you should start getting a response from the midi controller. Do you get response by mouse clicking that area? LMK

The NI electric sunburst deluxe is the only plugin that's not working. the other plugins are from toontrack.. ezdrummer, ezkeys,and ezbass. they all work right when you insert them.any help would be appreciated. Hey there. Go into the AMPS and FX tab and hit CLEAR ALL. It will prompt you again and say ARE YOU SURE? You click again and now you are hearing the straight D.I. Cheers!!!!

I have the deluxe version Don't know what I clicked on or did? Every time I press my keyboard I control one note on the keyboard, I get pressed several notes in the software. .Or at least 2. hours I try to fix it without a solution. How can I return the software to the default mode so that I can play the keyboard normally and hear guitar sounds?

Take a look at the top of the Kontakt screen. There you will find for icons. Click on them and you will find one of these is responsible for opening certain parts of the interface. You can also hit the key command F3 with the function key. Stay Up!

I wish the program allowed us to write our own pattern, or play as the midi notes are indicating. I have to this vst for over a year now but it gets on my nerves that I can't play the exact notes that I have written. I am stuck with what the patterns give me and have to play around with those only.

You can use the melody instrument to program the exact notes you want...even strumming patterns. You just have to know what you are doing though because you can’t just hold the chord. You have to play or draw the entire phrase(s).

Can you pick different voicing via a controller?

On page 8 of the manual it says nothing about the voicing being Midi mappable. If you choose the AS PLAYED voicing, the voicing will be an exact representation of what you are playing. While not efficient, you can always create new tracks with voicings or conversely use more instances of Kontakt using different Midi Channels (a better idea). Hope that helps.
