I never had a chance to play Crypt Killer at the arcade back in the day but I still own the PlayStation port with the light gun. Fun game!

The arcade version is one to try for sure but if you have the PS version, that is definitely good enough!

Nicely done preserving this classic board. I never played the arcade version but I did play Crypt Killer on the old PS1 with Konami Justifier. I hope to find and play the Sega Saturn version with Virtua Gun (Stunner in North America). This and Lethal Enforcers are classic shooters from Konami. Another light gun shooter you might want to check out is Elemental Gearbolt for the PS1 which is a title I had a lot of fun with the Justifier.

Thanks a lot. having CK on the PS1 with the justifier is awesome! The Sega Saturn game is great as well. Thanks for the heads up on Elemental Gearbolt, Ill have to give that a shot...literally lol.

I remember playing this game at my local Bally's Alladin's Castle arcade as a teenager. Ah, the nostalgia feels...

You're one of the few people doing God's work. I love to see actual arcade hardware, although I have to satisfy myself with emulation stuff. I mean I used to play big cabinets in 2014 until Ticket machines and Redemption machines took over rather than story based games. Talking about Crypt Killer, we have an actual Arcade Cabinet with the name "Henry Explorers" and it's only made for Japan. It looks like a Yellow Cube. The music are top-notch.

Hi Luke! You've done it again and surprised me with a game I never knew existed. Awesome stuff! I will try and check out the Saturn version. I've always loved your Halloween videos. I especially liked your Carnevil one! I hope you are able to back up that hard drive somehow?
@lukemorse1
@lukemorse1 2 ай бұрын
Haha, glad I could show you a new one Paul! I have Carnevil out now and Im testing that one. As for backing up the drive, I dont have it backed up but it IS in MAME so if it suddenly stops, hopefully I can revive it. We shall see though. Hope you're having a good one!

Hi Luke. Have you made a backup/mirror of that HDD in case it ever fails? Probably an IDE type drive but I think there are converters (IDE to SATA) so you can hook up an SSD to it.

Something I need to do soon. This is the common gq420 UAA version but hopefully I can get around to it soon.

Can't beat the CRT's and magnetic hard drives whining for the old skool feels. One reason why I still like WII is the lightgun games. It just isn't the same with mouse or controller than actually pointing at the TV and shoot.
