They just have to reprint cards in good rarity’s , print support for older decks people want while dropping new cards / decks / hand traps / staples in new sets then people will always buy it’s not that hard of a formula , on top of not banning / limiting every deck into unplayablity / oblivion

The biggest thing they're sleeping on is they could make support for older decks and make a TCG exclusive box. The box could give the decks that were originally tcg exclusives some good support while boosting them up to a higher tier

I love the fact that they included Qcr and CRs in the boxes for collectors. It's not the only way to obtain those cards unlike Magia, best of both worlds.

I’d like to point out that Ryzeal is going to get a lot more expensive with Maze of Master in March. I expect 7th Tachyon to be a $100 max rarity card like Bonfire and for 7th Ascension to skyrocket in price unless it gets reprinted.

I love rotation. I think it's great that these decks are cheaper than recent meta decks. Full power Kash was close to a grand, as was full power tear. These decks being half that is super helpful. I do think it's scummy to ban cards from a meta they're trying to phaze out, right after they reprint them though.

I think a few things needs to happen; 1 Konami needs to be more open in communication with their player base. 2. Making these sets or other sets have things in 2 or 3 rarities so that the cards aren't super expensive but just expensive enough for them to still make money. And 3. Both the new top decks aren't oppressive, yet they're powerful and have a bvk and forth game. We should make decks more fair and less toxic and oppressive

I think that Konami is crawlimg in the right direction because they saw what was happening when they ignored their playerbase by witholding the banlist for 5-6 months and making cards super expensive. They lost alot of yugioh players, pros and employees because of it. In my opinion if they want to compete with the other card games they need to do a few things. They can keep give legacy support to older stratahies like they did with Yubel, Exodia, and now Gladiator Beast and Evil Heroes but also making the game affordable to all players with a few cards here and there that are expensive. At the end of the day I get that they are still a company that has money to make but it can still profit if it makes changes for the better like you said Cali. P.S. you gonna take Gladiator Beasts to locals?😂

I only play Master Duel, but the game where it stands right now, I think it's Alright. To the casual player who plays once probably every 6 months is fun with other casuals. There has been this saying for Yu Gi Oh somewhere before "The game is only fun, when you know how to play it." I happen to realize that after hearing that.

My biggest complement for Ryzeal and mallice. Both actually feel fair. Ryzeal is really good at playing through stuff but the ceiling is not crazy high while Mallice is the opposite. It can be hard to play through stuff but has a high ceiling. Bith fair in their own way

i got every maiss card except the mpt trap from 3 boxes. and i got way to many of the ryzeal cards i wasnt interested in, im hoping to get the trap i need fro my maliss deck for relatively cheap. maliss is super fun, and seems to be a prett unique idea, having a playstyle revolving around the banish mechanic.

I don't understand the argument that the OCG model wouldn't work here when it literally works in Japan. Unless the argument is they get it for cheap and we are the ones who subsidize it in which case that is very unfair as customers.

If they increased the rarity ratios slightly per box for Secret and below and gave better prizing for YCS (they have already made a step in the right direction with the Steam Deck) the game would be much healthier. The banlist is another matter entirely, stop banning decks into oblivion making them unplayable. Hit them, sure, but there's limiting a deck and then removing it as an option entirely. With the new list, small steps in the right direction. Still a long way to go and with these new TCG's coming out it will be interesting to see what their plan is.

I feel like Konami should use the ban list to lower the power level of decks but not make it so they are unplayable! It’s definitely a terrible feeling to wait for reprints of cards that where expensive only to have the deck you where gonna use them for become unplayable that feeling sucks! I like that they are not making new deck super oppressive so it feels like if you want to win you have to play these decks I enjoy deck diversity and I think the more of that you have the more players you will have because there is something for everyone! But I agree with the pricing which would be better handled if we knew when reprints were coming! Also errata Jowgen to say this card cannot be special summoned and let my boy out lol

I'm fine with a "rotation" format, but not when all of the expensive cards are going to become pointless very soon after getting reprinted. At this point I'm done with any kind of "rarity collection" Konami has planned. It never ends well. It'd be great if we could get on the same banlist/release schedule as Japan. I like the OCG banning philosophy much more...aside from Maxx C

Tbh the fact that all cards are accessible is one of the biggest reasons Yugioh is better than other card games. The issue is powercreep and more rule changes which has gotten insane. Alternate formats helps combat this because in another format the yugio cards can be restricted in such a way to incentivise more stretegic gamrplay like GOAT or a slower format. Also, I think card erratas are terrible which was not mentioned. Would have been better to make a different format or make a different card.

The big 3, now have real competition, and yugioh being the least accessible, for new players in both terms of play and monetary, konami is the least prepared when players see the other options, I left for Digimon and havent looked back, even though I keep up with ygo content I havent played it in any way for at least 4 years

Yeah lets not hace konami do polls and take votes for banlist by the fans. There will end up being like 2 playable decks. I feel the majority of people that would take part in this would be wanting to bring down the ban hammer on a deck that they are just salty towards. Im curious to see in the next year or so if the next couple "eras" of Yugioh start seeing their decks get a lot of love comparable to Duel Monsters and GX. Maybe seeing competitive Startdust, or completely blindsiding us with a wild choice to bring Aesir support or something.

I like your channel and your videos my man, but the part where you said that they have to make money somehow had me stop what i was doing, rewind, relisten and comment. It's gonna ve a rant, but it has to be. They're a business and have to make money, yes; but by being this predatory? Moreover, how are they making money in the east if the chase cards are 1-2 rarities lower almost every single time in the ocg? The yen isn't even strong rn, so are they losing money over there? And it's not at all like the ocg printing modus operandi when they give us the hard to pull, very hard to pull and too hard to pull rarities of x card- it should be going down, once in a while, not constantly up. I understand not wanting to turn the channel into a negative nancy one, but this isn't a good point to make. Konami doesn't have an excuse on their pricing, they've verified that they think westerners to be complete morons, so they just keep on treating them as such. The card design is bad and broken, the business model is immoral, the respect to the paying customer isn't there. Ban current broken product to make 'em buy the next product shouldn't be accepted. Purposely making bad product and needing to make money shouldn't both be in the vicinity of one encompassing argent. I love the game, but this is unacceptable. If there was at least a decent anime to go with the cards, it would be at least palatable and somewhat meaningful to chase the cool ones. Imo peak yugioh was around 5ds era, it was expensive, with broken tear 0, but the blackwings, stardust etc meant something to me, while current day archetypes that come and go, the snake eyes, tearlaments and ryzeals are pure cardboard slop.

Accessibility to cards from the time the cards release is the downfall of the game an will continue to be the downfall of this game. I understand its a business, but it gets to a point where you ask yourself how much is it out of greed tho. It's purely out of greed imo and its because people are apparently paying these outrageous prices (I can't wrap my head around why tho). i think the prices are perfect, i dont believe a meta deck should be expensive as a console and give prizes that equal half of your decks cost. it feels perfect right. yugioh is not a poor mans game, and sadly alot of folks cant swallow that. either our cards are worthless, or theyre worth something.
