I usually do my dailies and dip, Gold has more variety at least but you still can't completely avoid floodgate garbage and omega wombo decks. Casual ladder is also a ghost town, so that's a no go as well. Festival events are the only time I feel like I have fun consistently.

One interesting thing about Ido is that when is destroyed by card effect, is summoned to the owners field later, so if you use black hole (or in my case I once sniped it with the lovely labyrnth in the hand), you basically Ido lock the opponent.

i got hit with ido but manage to get my opponent to get rid of it(not through card effect) remember once its on your side of the field you have control of it i put mine on offense and kept teasing him(he set his monsters on defense just to wait for me to surrender until few turns later)at the time i was using Brand X Buster Blader what cost him was as soon as ido was gone i managed to hit him with Destruction Sword Slash after i had used my Memories in my grave using Albaz and Buster Blader after that he tried to get rid of it by Mirrorjade effect(if it leaves the field at the end phase all monsters on your opponent side gets destroyed) good thing i had 2 Branded opening or i would've lost(and also Crossout Designator during witch i had ido he used Branded Fusion and i stopped him)

I swear the only reason Ido hasn't been hit yet is because of all the ways Labrynth decks can bully people who try to abuse the thing, since it just so happens to be a Fiend, leaving a majority of their traps live. Ra's Disciple is probably not getting touched either though, and that's almost as annoying overall.

Honestly alot of this could be avoided if they give Expulsion an Errata and change the text to 1 of 2 things. Target 2 Branded or Despia non fusion monsters and special summon 1 to your opponent's field and 1 to your own. Or Monster's special summoned by this cards effects to the opponent's field have their effects negated and are destroyed during the end phase.

It's funny how everyone complained about this and I haven't come across a single variant of bd that plays ido, and and a bd player myself I don't use it because very rarely I get outplayed. Usually end up making one misplay and that decides the duel, unless I find a combo that I get to use once in a blue moon. I also use like 3 different variants of bd just because there's other interesting and fun ways to play than ido lock. 2 of them are 60 cards.

@@francisharkins solid is a strong word. It can do some stuff but its end boards are generally pretty mediocre at best and has a hard time playing through any negates or interruptions. Fluffal protection also consists of like edge imp scythe and thats it. The fusions are actually pretty decent admittedly but they get outclassed which is why they need the many card support as mentioned above

Told the same thing to people in tcg about mystic mine. A card doesnt need to get banned when it has many forms of removal. If u build your deck with a lot of 3 of, the chance u open double or even triple is a lot higher than when u open single. That's normal cause the program use RNG. In the irl yugioh it wont likely to happen cause the way a person shuffling and normally they scatter their deck before shuffling to make opening double less likely to happen.

@@Pkey995 The, "First Turn" and "Going Second" mentalities will exist no matter what in Master Duel because of the best of one format. Even if you strip the game of all the things you meantion, people would just optimise FTKs strategies because there would be literally nothing stoping them from doing it. The modern game won't return to a back and fourth style of play without removing like half of the card pool from play and that is beyond ludicrous.

Oh what’s this? Another example of a tech that is great in master duel almost solely due to the nature of it being best of 1? Oh and it would not be great in games 2 and 3 cause that’s how side decks work? Weird almost like master duel should have had a separate match ranked ladder literal years ago now.

The ido/ra disciple lock is terrible in both master duel and the tcg. Its basically a meme build at this point. Better example of the issues with bo1 format is runick stun since that deck basically didnt exist in the tcg but is tier 1 in master duel
