I've found that taking everything out of the space, and BEING overwhelmed is what has kept me from going back. If I notice things starting to get piled or shoved, and take a second to think into the future....how much time I'm going to have to spend going through it all, instead of dealing with it right them. Seems to be working. Remembering the pain of doing it the first time helps!!!!

Clothespin an index card/piece of paper to label bins on the top. Place shoes on bin with black top to your left so you can place another gray bin lower. I hope your husband appreciates your organization skills. Looks easy to maintain.

Girl I am cracking up my hubby is exactly the same way!! I dont have attatchment issues if I dont wear it, it goes. My husband’s closet and dresser drive me crazy 😜 but like you I respect him. Sometimes when he isnt home and I have done his closet and dresser I set things aside I havent seen him wear and ask him to go theu it and typically its only 1 or 2 items 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I just told him last night the dresser this weekend for both of us! I swear you and Megan sound exactly the same lol

I think we are married to the same man when it comes to having too many clothes that he's attached to and won't let go of. Haha I recently did a closet reorganization. I got rid of probably 70% of my own clothes and had to figure out how to organize ALL of my husband's clothes that he never wears. LOL!!

It can be hard to know what size your children will be in the future, so hand-me-downs sometimes do not get used. It can also be difficult to judge size if you see something in sale at the end of the season and you want to buy it for the next year. For the most part, my children’s sizes matched their ages, but sometimes they fit into smaller sizes as well. I donated clothes when they did grow out of them.

Mine likes to downgrade clothes to car clothes for getting dirty in, and I actually had some success reasoning with him last time that he only needed one or two sets of car clothes. So he finally relinquished 3 pairs of pants that were the most frayed and the wrong sizes. I think it must be the first time he let things go willingly!!

Yep kids clothes are impossible. My son is size 3t waist but 4t length 🤦‍♀️ poor kid, nothing fits and there’s all these fake drawstring pants lately which doesn’t help either
