People need to realize that some idols are comfortable with showing skin and others aren’t. But since we don’t know if they are comfortable with that we have to be ready to support and protect idols in reveling clothing. Especially if they are a minor. Even if they are comfortable with showing skin, while they are a minor (especially because of the sexualization of idols) they need to be protected regardless. Unless they are like Jessi or HyunA who show their comfort and their love for this type of clothing, etc, it’s so important to protect the idols and speak out on this.

Jennie wear a nurse outfit bc the text of 'lovesick girls' is "No doctor could help when i'm lovesick" so it's logic that she wear that! @anni1348
@anni1348 3 жыл бұрын
I can understand the nurse costume controversy. Nurses get extremely over sexualized and belittled by society since centuries. Outsiders have no idea how much sexual harassment and sexual abuse through patients, nurses experience on a daily basis. And it's an open secret, but you're told to accept it because "it's part of your Job as a nurse". That disgusting costumes is just supporting this stupid sexy nurses image many people nowadays still have. Jenny was definitely a bad influence for her Fans here, regardless of how much you little blinkis "love" her anyway. Of course that doesn't mean she deserves to get insulted, but it's still not okay, she needs to be educated on that.

Lolita, the pedo book and Lolita, the Japanese fashion style have nothing to do with each other. Lolita fashion was created to take inspiration from Victorian and rococo fashion and is not meant to be sexualized or seen as erotic in any way unless you are dressing in ero-Lolita (a substyle that uses corsets, garters, sheer fabrics, etc to enhance typical lolita style). Pastel and frilly clothing doesn’t have to be made out as infantile or wrong!

people tend to be biased when it comes to idols showing off skin or dancing in a “sexy” way. another example, showing off skin. If a female idol wears a crop top or something sexy, there’s a tendency that many will say stuff like “she’s a slut”, “that’s too much skin” or “her body doesnt even look good” . But, if a male idol shows his abs or literally performs topless, they wouldn’t really mind.

Coming in to comment on the lolita section. I do not want to come off as rude, but you have the concept of lolita completely wrong. It does NOT depict "short skirts" and underage girls. It is a fashion based off of renaissance, and mostly rococo style. It is actually a more modest style, always wanting the skirt/dress to be longer, and covering the chest and shoulders (with some exceptions). There are many facebook groups and even youtubers you can watch to learn more. I suggest LovelyLor and scarfingscarves. Please correct this, this is furthering the bad name that the lolita community is trying to fix.

Please correct your misinformation. Lolita, is a kawaii Japanese sub-fashion style. It is not meant to portray young girls in innapropriate ways. The definition you are giving stems from a book called "Lolita", and "Lolita" is a character nickname in the book, which is also a common nickname. that just happened to be the same. Just wanted to say as opposed to many people's views Lolita fashion is completely separate from the book Lolita which you know is super inappropriate. It is basically a cute Japanese street fashion with imfluence from victorian and edwardian fashion. Many people who wear the fashion do not intend to be juvenile or sexual. In fact true lolita fashion is actually very Conservative cute and covers much of the body and has no secure undertones. Lolita just happens to share a name with a book. If that was intentional choice I don't know but what I do know is that Lolitas (Avid lolita fashion wearers) do not intend to make themselves into raunchy children. Lolis just like a very adorable type of dressing and like to express themselves.

@@Sweetener044 they claim that the outfit was sexualizing nurses. the outfit literally took inspiration to the 1960's where nurses's uniforms are long and the theme of the hospital that jennie was in is inspired by the 1960's also. there was no any sexual references shown or done and that's the reason why everyone is saying that there's nothing wrong with the outfit. it doesn't mean that someone is offended we all need to accept it.

some native Americans address this and most of them didn't really felt offended by these but the g-dragon one had mixed emotions. they also said that the paint the idols wore in their faces wasn't really offensive because some of them doesn't represent a tribe or anything at all. and using some headpieces with feathers isn't that offensive either because it doesn't use a specific feather that natives traditionally use. about gd's headpiece most of them said that it is offensive in a way but they don't consider it deep because of the feather used (assuming that it was fake) but they also said that the headpiece was sacred for them but they still accepted it. you can find it on youtube
