I've been turning wrenches for a few years and I must agree my pry bars are made by matco from Early 2000s and I must say they are the best .

I personally have the 1/2 sized flip sockets from CTA... they’ve made life 10x easier for getting wheels off. Living in NW Pennsylvania, those chrome acorn lug nuts tend to swell during certain times of the year and I’ve had to trash 2 or 3 cheaper harbor freight sockets because they got seized inside them. Worth their weight in gold and not bad priced either ($45 for the set thru my MAC dealer).

Dear Mr Koon, I'm a new Diesel Tech Student and we watched the video you made with Bill adjusting the freeplay on the foot pedal. Before the video started the Instructor said, Now pay attention because these guy's are from the south and some things they say are hard to understand.....LOL I'm from Florida and have been watching your tool review's for quite some time, and I sure don't have a problem understanding what bill said, BUT !!! One question the students had was.... Please ask Bill, How many licks equal a full turn.....lmao. Thanks for the hard work you and the guy's put into your video's....respectfully Dan

Agreed. I bought one from McMaster-Carr in December for a work project and it was a HUGE time saver for the thread "improvement" we had to do on 200+ pieces of steel.
@markgriffin55373 жыл бұрын
Why not use a drill on low speed?? Tapped thousands of holes using a drill. Much quicker than using a ratchet and you sure don’t want a impact tapping.
@dodgesportsman7723 жыл бұрын
Is that the older version without the ability to use a wrench on it? I just bought those because you can use any tap with it but the newer version is matco taps only.

I’ve come across stripped bolts I’d gladly pay $30 to get out. I purchased these from my Matco truck and fortunately I have not needed them yet. Just an FYI Autozone is now selling those extractors for $9.99 per pack. They split up the sizes so you need the small and large set to get the complete set like Matco. I believe they are a buck or two cheaper under a commercial account so it comes out to about half the price.

I bought a set of the extractor rings when you first showed them and they are still new in the package! I haven't needed them which is the best part. The blend door wrench would be nice to have which means I'll go to Matco.com and get the part # and price. I have two fingers that know how to type maybe one of them can hit the add to cart button.

The half size lug nut sockets are great. If you don’t have those, you need a full set of extra thin wall sockets. We run into quite a few 22mm lug nuts that are now 22.5 and you can’t always fit a 23mm in there safely. People go to the discount lube shop, get their nuts blasted on and warped, and it takes the Matco 2779 to get em off by the time it gets to our shop.
