what happens in a fail? it rots? becomes slimy? has insects?
@melodyreve5239 Жыл бұрын
@@oxoelfoxo That didn't happen to mine but it's also a fail when your kimchi became and have that. When I made one for the first time it's too watery and too spicy, so considered it as failed.

My mom's always peeled fruit and veg with the knife going towards her so that's how I learned to peel, too. i think it has to be done that way if you want to peel very thinly since you have more control over how much gets removed
@mildredsanay67002 жыл бұрын
You can plant the labuyo in a big pot and put outside ur doorsteps under the sun. It will grow and bear fruits. You can easily monitor it too and water regularly.

I was born and raised in the Philippines. When cooking class started in 5th grade, we were taught to pare fruits and veggies with the knife by moving the blade away from one’s body for safety. That goes the same with peelers. 🤗👍🏼 Do Koreans use peelers towards their bodies too? Anyways, what’s important is sumarap yung niluluto mo. 😄😄

Ay ang interesting nung pag peel kasi sa household namin ganyan rin kami mag peel. Instead of palabas ung knife, ung amin parehas sa Korean na paloob ung direction ng knife.

@coniferousbug23952 жыл бұрын
From what I know..the reason we do it peel it outward so that in case it slips the knife will not go thru ur body, esp the stomach, and get cut. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

We cut like that so we can't hit by sharp edge of a knife like doing tricks in balisong even though accidentally hit you it won't bleed because it is not the sharp edge.

1:30 you are mistaken... I've seen people on the northern part of Luzon peel vegetables/fruits with the knife blade going towards them same as you... And probably alot more Filipinos doing that way. I peel green mangoes the same way... Blade facing and moving towards me... My thumb would catch the blade without being cut.

Henlo~ I think the reason why other people choose to peel like that is because of 'safety', idk, I just heard it from a friend. I am used to the 'korean style' and he saw me peeling my mangoes like that but he warned me that, I will get hurt if I peel like that since it is closer to my hands, wrists, arms or worst, the body. Hehe
