the term "black comedy" is the older and more established term, while "dark comedy" is largely considered to be synonymous with it. The key points are: The term "black humor" (or "black comedy") was coined by the Surrealist theorist André Breton in 1935, when he was interpreting the writings of Jonathan Swift. Black comedy is a style of comedy that makes light of taboo or serious subjects like death, violence, and tragedy. It is also referred to as dark comedy, morbid humor, or gallows humor. While "black comedy" and "dark comedy" are often used interchangeably, some sources suggest there may be a slight distinction - with "black comedy" being more specifically about death and tragedy, while "dark comedy" is a broader term covering a range of dark or morbid subject matter. However, most sources treat them as synonymous.

Morel orel had some perfect dark comedy. A kid in a christian family is told feeling pleasure is sin, so he inflicts pain anytime he's happy. He ends up catching the attention of BDSM enthusiasts who think the kid is just like them and invite him to a party. He ends up having a wet dream about god punishing him with a spanking. Every episode he's taught something about Christianity and ends up misinterpreting it so bad it's brutally funny

In the US, we usually call these adult cartoons or dark comedies (not for kids). Lol black comedy made me think you were referring to african-americans (not offensive, but a bit confusing title). American humor sometimes plays into extreme ideas. For example, when you guys were watching american stand-up comedy, someone said "is this a real story?" Maybe, but it is was more likely made-up or an exaggerated form of a true story. I enjoy your videos!
