I'm 100% just as confused as Harstem about this game. I can understand seeing that huge Disruptor hit and rage quitting, being too flustered to do the math and realize you'd probably win the fight with Transfuse, and/or you just took out their 4th and are in a great position to go home if you'd prefer as well. But then, I would've checked the replay afterwards and realized I had totally screwed up by tapping out that early. And for Demi to do that, not realize he had won, and then to also feel compelled to send this to Harstem yelling IMBA is absolutely insane.

I think the frustration comes from trying to manage the Queens and Overlords to get anything done (just trying to micro that is a pain in the a$$) then having to deal with the opponents relatively easy micro of skytoss and getting smoked by disruptors. I can understand the overload of data and rage quit. The match would have gone 100x smoother without the Queen nerf. Zerg has a lot of crap to manage. I think adding even more creep w/ queen management is a bad call.

You still shouldn't RQ a match especially when the odds are stacked in your favor, I suspect this Korean player had another match before this one and got their ass kicked probably by a low-level player who probably didn't even realize they were making so many mistakes yet somehow still managed to win (don't lie you know it can happen) and the chap's ego got bruised so much that by the time this match came up they were already done with the game at that point.

I think this is what I called Carrierphobia, seeing carrier sent zerg players into a series of traumatic memories and the longer their main as a zerg the more bad memories their would re-experience. Hence, making the the player perceive situation more bad than it is. Plus, there a 50% chance there are tears on their eyes when they leave the game either when their lose or win.

One of my few wins vs master league players was similar to this, had like 5 carriers (no storm yet) and he was 2/2 bio, mostly marines, and he left right before he killed my last few interceptors

Carriers definitely can be deceiving. Its hard to know for sure how many interceptors are left when so much is going on. Still better to see the fights through to the end, even if you do lose, obv.

The void rays look scary because they clump and also have the prismatic alignment bar under them, making it look like there's even more there. Archons are huge and often you have a couple under an air army. So the whole army looks really dense and terrifying, even though it turns out to only be like 30 supply.

Incorrect! There has been one non-suck result before this. In one match, Harstem ruled that it was indeed imba. Iirc, it was a replay where a guy won, then submitted the iodis complaint, pretending to be the guy who he beat, and making stupid complaints to make that other player look stupid. It was such poor form, that Harstem awarded the guy who lost an imba result.

He literally did everything Hartsterm said he should be doing and the results were great. Clearly not imba and clearly not suck either. Other then not being game aware... Carriers are frustrating to play against because they can just spawn units in the field and you have to fight them and kill them and the carrier is still alive. Which is kind of understandable, but also kind of funny coming from a race which has defined entire eras of SC2 by spawning game-turning amounts of units in the field (locusts, infested terrans, broodlings), and can still kind of do that.

Have to say the queen walk until 13:80 or so with the dropped creep and forward tumor placement is a pretty cool and high-test strat. Much more interesting than the old waddle to the front and kill or die queen walk. And he killed the 4th base! He probably should have made a tactical retreat at that point, maybe leaving some units to further delay that base. Okay now watching the rest

Nah, at least in that case he was just tricked into thinking there was a big army there. This is his loss to MMA; obviously won game, utterly misreads the gamestate and quits. Except this is even worse because with Idra he later said he couldn't find part of his army and thought it had been wiped out. Since f2 exists Demi has to have known what he had left.

he won when 30 zerglings finally killed the zealot that was blocking the entry to neutral and main. If he flooded those zerglings in instead of feeding them to archons, he could take out the solo disruptor and entire eco of toss. Well,even after that he was still way ahead with all those corruptors and more roaches were on the way and creep all the way up to protoss base.
