I genually admire Ollie so much for pushing through with this. His Korean has definitely improved so much, and even tho he still has more to learn he is still willing to put himself out there in such difficult situations. Ollie is super smart for having learned as much as he has even as he works so much on the channels, is a dad/husband, and is only doing self learning outside of Korea. Props to him

I came to be Ollie's fan after watching this series. You're doing great mate, I'm cheering for you..!! **also though he's still learning, still confused with formal informal words and such, it makes me smile how he didn't forget to be polite and say 감사합니다 (thank you) in every single times. i surely know lots of ppl that's not as polite as him though they're natives 🤧. This comment is 2 years late way wayy lateee, but just want to say that I'm uncomfortable with josh calling ollie an id*ot throughout this series. I know that you guys are friends, but really what ollie did here (bravely communicating with locals with his korean skills) were not something that all of us can do. Praise and encourage him more. I'm really proud of him while watching these videos.

I agree with u, it honestly was uncomfortable bc there is a clear difference in the level of fluency skill in korean between josh and ollie. Ollie is rlly trying his best despite not knowing much and josh calling him an idiot was uncalled for. Kudos to Ollie for having such a positive mindset tho bc in my case, I didn't rlly have any ppl helping me learn a new language and just gave up.
