Personally, every athlete here is amazing in their own right; and so recently Ohtani just broke a record for 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in a single season, which hasn’t been broken by any other player in general in history and is signed with the dodgers for 700 million USD. Baseball may not be popular outside certain countries but honestly he is a monster in baseball history and maybe even in the entire world right now. The first Asian in baseball history to be this good, while also being a pitcher and hitter, which is already something so difficult and not even being raised in America?! Guy literally won the lottery of life and is humble about it too.😅 It’s beyond crazy how good he is.

Ohtani now is being discussed as greater than Babe Ruth the same way Jordan was considered as the greatest even after only winning his first championship. The only Asian athlete that's comparable is Efren Reyes in pool. He's considered as the greatest billiard player of all time but pool is the "lesser" sports. Some don't even consider it as one.

Ohtani for sure he is the Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods of Baseball. One of the 3 major sports of America. In terms of overall sports maybe not spread in most western countries is Ma Long the GOAT of table tennis. Won 7 olympic gold medals in total.

I will also give my top 6 for the 21st 1. Pacman // he dominated the sports in many different levels 2. Ohtani // he is dominating baseball like no one else offense and defense 3. Inoue // He is dominating boxing on multiple weight classes, undisputed world champion in 2 divisions 4. Kohei Uchimura // He dominated gymnastics was also considered the GOAT of Gymnastics 5. Ma long // dominated the Table Tennis scene, widely considered as the Goat as well 6. Lin Dan // He is dominating badminton in the world level having a case for being the world greatest Honorable Mention - Ichiro Suzuki- He also swept the baseball scene, a true MVP with very insane production. One of the best hitters in baseball history in my books, hitting the most consecutive 200 hit seasons is insane. He is dominating the sport on his own way - Naomi Osaka - Dominated in Tennis, former World no. 1, first Asian to do so as well - Inbee Park - Also dominated in Golf Disclaimer: - No hate on Yao Ming but unlike the athletes mentioned here the former never dominated basketball like any of latter, props to him still as a Hall of Famer, he stood nearly toe to toe with the great in the NBA. I would still rank him among the top 10 or 15 but the list is too stacked for the 5 - I am not a sports analyst nor an expert. But just a layman. We have too many athletes and I don't know them all.
