I can answer that lol they most likely can eat much spicier food BUT when it comes to chips in Korea, they are less salty and more on the sweet side! Koreans are not accustomed to “spicy or salty” chips! It’s like if u ate cake and the cake was spicy doesnt matter if it was mild, you would be like ew thats way too spicy lol
@NuLagoo3 жыл бұрын
@@davidkim7005 I figured, in my home town in California and in Korea Town we have a lot of Korean restaurants, Korean food in many super markets and snacks. The food like tebboki (I think I spelled it right) is spicy. The jajangmyeon is highly flavorful and pretty sweet, my favorite cheese dogs have potato and sugar on them. The snacks on the other hand aren't so flavorful lol. The flavor advertised is what you get. No salt to up the taste, no extra spice to make snacks pop. Just you get what you get. Idk if you noticed but takis taste salty along with spicy, hot Cheeto fries taste cheesy if you eat many at once, sour patch Kids taste almost unnecessarily sweet, we have a lot in mind when it comes to snacks because our snacks simply are a lot. Compared to most other countries our snacks are very out there so when they think snack from home and try snacks from America expecting the same vibe with a little difference they usually don't expect to get slapped in the mouth with such intense flavors from something like a simple chip.

I have a medical procedure tomorrow and I can't eat food today, I can only drink until midnight, so I'm living vicariously through you guys. My favorite part of it all is the different reactions to it all. I can just imagine the reactions all of them reacting to actual Mexican food, candy, and baked goods. I do love a lot of generally Asian foods, snacks, sweets, drinks and meals though. I love Pocky, matcha flavored sweets and snacking foods, mochi, flavored aloe water and more traditional type meals and foods. I should probably stop taking about food before I make myself hungry...

Yeah I kinda cracked up when it was included. 😂 but we DO love Lindt chocolate here in the US! There’s even a Lindt store in my hometown of Princeton, NJ that I’ve gone to ever since I was a child. Thank you Switzerland! Ignorant people like to assume all Americans eat Hershey’s and cheap/bad candy ...and food for that matter. 🙄

I think the idea is that it is a very common candy eaten in the US which is apparently not often eaten in Korea 🤗 I always see these around a ton during Christmas time, so I think they've made their way into the common-sweets-in-America category. Although I agree Lindt truffles are less so a very "fancy" chocolate, and more middle of the road/grocery store but could be given as a gift whereas not so much Hershey's 😅 Regardless, delicious 😋
