Thanks for the walk through...very kind of you. I remember Korg Gadget was light on CC and some MIDI functions at first release, then it was updated. Module also integrates into that app as I'm sure you know. Acoustic piano sounds are really quite excellent. Have a great service this Sunday!

Hi John,thanks for the review. I went and bought this app after watching this video. Unfortunately my Ipad 3 which I use with an Alesis Iodock would only give 8 note polyphony on the piano sounds. The electric pianos would get 16. I changed the latency but it made no difference.I am disappointed because the sounds are fantastic. I just wanted to point this out in case anybody else is using an Ipad 3 to run this app. Time to upgrade I think. Phil

Sweet! I am mindblown that tech like this is available. Question: are the patches fully editable in a live setting (such as, using transpose on a keyboard controller)?

This is an awesome vid! I just got an iPad Air 2 last week, and can't wait to start playing around with this stuff :) Question, if you've got a moment... I understand I can hook a mic up to the iPad and run it through some vocal f/x app.... is it possible to play piano on this Korg app and sing with the vocal f/x at the same time?
@Johnmike10 жыл бұрын
Go to your ipad settings and scroll down to you see the org app icon...click on that and then enable "Run in the Background" open the korg app and then open up any other app that's a vocal effects app...but you would need to use a powered usb hub to connect to your ipad and then connect a keyboard and a audio interface to plug your mic up to

Quick question: could you use this for keyboards like a Yamaha PSR-EW310?
@pablogonzalez78148 жыл бұрын
Hi John! Really great video!! You explain everything very clearly, thanks a lot for it! ;D I'm wondering on buying this app and I have a question, hope you can answer it, I've been looking for it in the Korg website but I didn't find it.. Is it possible to combine sounds with this module as in a 'split mode'?? I mean, like having a piano on the lower part of the keyboard and an organ in the upper part? Or you just can use one single sound at a time? Thanks in advanced!!
@Johnmike8 жыл бұрын
No you can't just single sounds at a time

Hi John! Thanks for posting this review. How about the quality of the samples? I mean, if you compare to Grand piano plugins (running in a computer Daw) ? (I dont know if had the chance to test these) sorry for my bad english.
@Johnmike9 жыл бұрын
The quality is great...of course they don't compare to some of the VSTS on a computer but they are some of the best I've heard on iPad. I've used this on several occasions when I go out and gig

HI John, thank you for your review, just got one right now. Can you help me out on how to layer another program? or combine two sounds in one program? like having piano and strings together something like that and can be edited separately? hope you can help out.. Thank You
@Johnmike10 жыл бұрын
Go to your ipad settings and scroll down to you see the org app icon...click on that and then enable "Run in the Background" open the korg app and then open up any other app that's an instrument like sampletank for instance and they will be layered together...also there are a few Piano and strings apps in the Korg app...you can control the volume of the string layer using the layer/damper knob on the app interface..

Hey my brother help me out asap , I have a gig this Saturday and I'm just looking for better sounds to used on my M audio keyboard controller. Are this sounds better then the Ones from Sample tank 2 ? And would you say that this sounds are as good as the ones in a very good keyboard, Yamaha motif or THE fantom keyboard etc? Do you need a Interface to connect ipad to keyboard or just using the lighting to USB Camera adapter get you the full sound? I ask cause I had one friend who uses Interface to connect his keyboard to the computer (he get a much better sound then one who doesn't use interface and connects directly with out interface. Can you help if you think I need a interface to.get full sound. Thanks
@Johnmike5 жыл бұрын
I’m so sorry I missed this comment! But for what it’s worth...yes these sounds are way better than sample tank...and yes I would say use an interface if you can and yes you only need the usb to lighting adapter to make it work

Hello! Just finished downloading and installing the app to my iPad 4. I'm using a SAMSON Carbon 61 as my controller. I'm experiencing a latency issue. Tried changing it to 512 and 256 and I got popping sounds in return. Is there a way to solve this? Thank you.
@Johnmike10 жыл бұрын
Hmmm my only other suggestion would be to close every app that's running in the background and then try it again...
