I absolutely loved my Saturn studio-ease kit. It not only had a super beautiful finish but the sound was amazing. Ive since switched to Varus but i still own 4 mapex snares (i still use the orignal Chris Adler snare) i love that some of the snares have increased in value which just goes to show some of these purchases are investments

Does anyone know if we can order the Saturn with black bushed hardware or black chrome hardware?

Yep the new kit is a bit lower warmer and rounder sounding while the predecessor sounds a bit brighter with a slight more attack. I honestly prefer the brighter ones but both would be and are great sounding kits!

I think the evolution sounds richer, and deeper. With less ring.
