Here we can see the difference between a talented Airbender and an Airbender Master. Zaheer at no point in the fight could he hit Tenzin and had to escape. Tenzin could easily beat any member of the Red Lotus, but unfortunately he had to fight only against the 4 at a time.

There's a misconception about Zaheer. He isn't "talented" in the sense that he became great the moment he picked up airbending. Zaheer planned to teach Korra (after he kidnapped her) airbending. He studied it for decades, even though he never had the power himself. Still, not better than Tenzin, who actually had a teacher and the power to practice, but my point is that Zaheer is actually more of a 'master' than a 'prodigy'

@@SmoovyNovaFan the fact that Zaheer mastered to cancel gravity in such a short time of becoming an air bender, proves he's one of the greatest air benders to ever exist While Tenzin despite having decades of training by none other then Aang himself and now being a senior master of air bending was only able have a slight edge against Zaheer this only proves that zaheer will surpass him by miles as long as he gets the time or opportunity to practice

That was some awesome fight! Tenzin beating Zaheer was so good to watch, I always thought Tenzin was weaker but now Tenzin became my 2nd favorite character, the 1st is Milo btw.

People underestimate Tenzin and forget he is an airbender *master* ,Aang himself raised and teached him everything Zaheer might be a gifted fighter,but Tenzin has the technique and discipline of a true airbender.

I love it when Tenzin is fighting at his full strength. This is clearly a different guy from the fights in the earlier seasons, because here his entire family is on the line. He's fighting like a guy with everything to lose. Unfortunately, not good enough to fight 4 people on his level at the same time.

The fact that the 4 of them had to gang up on Tenzin shows you how good of an airbender he is,they wouldnt stand a chance against him in a 1 on 1 fight,and id go as far as to say even in a 2 v 1 hed win.
