When running nitro, sometimes the combustion pressure along with the amount of fuel being pumped into cylinder causes the flame from the spark plug to go out and beings the plug didn't or couldn't fire the fuel mixture, that cylinder doesn't work as usual and they call that "dropping a hole" or cylinder.

No, it is Mike Drydens bike with a chassis originally built by puppet in the videos. Roels bike is now owned by Leonard Azzopardi and resides in Sydney Australia

Traditionally drag frames and chassis were brazed. This allowed them a certain amount of 'give' where as welding was seen to be possibly brittle join. Now days steel alloys and tig must be different, would love to see it destructed tested against a good brazed joint to see the difference

Anybody know anything about aerodynamics of these top fuel these MC,do they wind tunnel test ,software?One of these fully closed with a separate pod for the driver[drag boats].I imagine the sport is fully evolved where changes will come very slow,and of course the cost to build a new design dragbike only to find out it doesn't work.,but it sure is fun to dream

they weren't wheel hops.Multiple passes in the 250 plus range have proved that at different tracks.The big mph in the back half (60mph) is the way John tuned the bike.Also the data logger backs it up.If you saw the incremental gains from 1/2 track to 1000ft then the stripe you would understand.

cant see how it runs 255 on the e.t, everyone else is running 220 - 230 on this e.t, even the fastest svenson only runs 230's on an e.t of 5.70, very interesting set up, is this roel's old bike?

Chris Hand has yet to run a 5 but still has run 245 mph.It's all in the tune up.

Cadcam,is amazing,fit,interference can be checked adjusted,the safety aspect alone.imagine a steering neck cracking or other critical component breaking at 200 plus.Wonder why they haven't introduced more aerodynamic bodywork,has anybody done any testing,software,windtunnel testing? Why not some experimental fully enclosed dragbikes[250 cc]see what can be done.use a stock kawasaki 250cc,since Motogp banned aerodynamics in the 50's,I think it deserves another look.

They're skipping over the first light of the trap with the front wheel because of that little bump, so the front of the trap is recording the back wheel and the second photocell is getting the front wheel.... it's happened before, dumb fast MPH's and average times, they're really running about 210 in the traps.
