Yeah, he got good when he finally hired writers. I reall don't like him in his first few years because most of the lore misconceptions from the non-lore reading official League universe website were from him. He is not that eloquent in the English language and misinterpereted figurative expressions. Just putting this out here. Necrit just got popular because his videos are shorter and easier to digest than other League creators. I still promote consuming content from Riot and Rioters themselves (which Necrit has the history of not even considering because his headcanons are more important to him) directly or at least furst before consuming second hand infos. But don't get me wrong, even I did not like Necrit's content back then I will not deny that he posts better content now... as I remember my frustrations back then “why not hire a script writer already...” and seems he did. Also, him getting added as a character in the book threw most people off. People must stop adding up influencers in their stories just because they are popular or to show appreciation.

@@BigDogHaver he was canonically the adviser of Viego back before the whole ruination thing when he was king of Camavor, it was super cool to see especially since if you play the game you do eventually run into him as he’s part of a mandatory quest.

I'm sure they will add new characters in the mmo that are not in league. We can see that in LoR, they managed to build a lot more of the world adding characters that we didn't know. LoR even has a champion that is not in League. I hope in the mmo they don't show the champions in every quest, so they don't lose exclusivity in that way. I would be bored of seeing Garen for the 12th time in my first initial quests, isn't he supposed to be busy? For example for the shadow isles, they could push a lot of secondary characters that are not champions but we know from LoR like Rhasa, Ledros, etc. Or even forgotten champions like Karthus. Yorick and Maokai are not really bad guys, they are trying to fend off the mist from the isles.

I dont know about Yorick but Karthus is definatly a bad guy. All hes doing is going around and torturing the dead souls so i cant se a redeeming quality for him. Maokai for sure, he is technically using all hes powers to try and hold back the mist coming from the Shadow isle.

Most mmo´s have a flaw in there design that they arent based on already established lore or if they are its not as mutch as it would probadly need. The main reson why WoW was such a massive success was becouse it built its world around Warcraft 1-3 and all the books aswell so the hype to play these storys we already know existed was massive. Riot has built there mmo world up the exact same way. Riot has less established gameplay storys then Wow did, but instead Riot has an enormous amount of lore storys around way more caracters so we still know how the world looks and the storys in it. Not gonna say it will be the wow killer becouse i dont think any game can do that. But unless there are some major problems at launch i would bet on this being the biggest game of the year by far.

Part of my problem with Necrits explanation is that he's heavily referencing WoW as an example of what MMORPG's should be like, but WoW is incredibly outdated at this point and Riot should be looking at newer, successful MMORPG's for tips on how to create a long lasting and enjoyable experience.

There was at least one interview Ghostcrawler did about the Riot MMO, where he said that they are planning on the MMO being free to play, as well as how Riot deals with everything they create. If it's not good, they will hold off on releasing it, make changes, possibly rework major portions of the game/story (this is why Arcane took like 10 years to air). With something as hyped up as the Riot MMO, I doubt they will end up cancelling the project, so it just might take a few extra years than we initially expected if what GC makes doesn't live up to Riot's expectations

Now that you know what the Void looks like, along with the catastrophic threat it represents, consider just how much Viktor's "hexcore" in ARCANE resembles a Void Seed. In fact, Heimerdinger mentions how it looks exactly like "a single seed" that destroyed nations in the past (was he possibly referring to Icathia, or its ARCANE analog?). As much as we all love the passion and drive that Viktor (and Jayce) have for pushing the envelope of "progress", it may very well turn out that the cost of that progress is the opening of a Void portal, through which complete annihilation pours through. If only Heimerdinger had warned them. Oh, wait...he did.

​@@donmowatt it doesn't have a "location" since it's a separate dimension, much like Bandlewood. Icathia and the Howling abyss were just 2 large portals that were opened to the void

@@purpleberry3564 Arcane was never really just the story of Jinx and Vi. Yes, it was mostly on their story, but I feel like second season will be more about the political side of the world, and such. And it would probably go beyond just Piltover and Zaun to the neighbors Shurima and Noxus, at some point the hexcore and touch on void subject as well.

Remember when noxians came to piltover to scout out potential weaponry? Yeah, singed happend And the modern vastaya are half human half spirit So the original vastaya could freely alter their forms to something that looks human since they are actual spirits, so mostly no shane dawsoning, hopefully.

Well not exactly. First there were the vastayashairei, the spirits who fought the stone titans. Their offspring were the true vastaya who were half human and half vastayashairei and could shapeshift, like the oovicat tribe. Most vastaya now are much closer to human then spirit

Like the person above me, yeah the 99% of the Vastaya can’t shapeshift at all, the only one who can is Neeko because her tribe was the closest to the original Vastaya and sh s the only one cause her tribes just gone kinda like Ahris but less ambiguous cause we know there was a black mist that had something to do with it and yes this was around the time Viego was still around and doing his thing so it’s not to hard to figure out what happened to them. None of the other Vastaya can shape shift that we know of, even the one Vastaya in LoR that came with Annie might not be able to shapeshift even though he looks a lot like neeko but maybe he can idk it’s not something he does in the card game so we’re kinda limited on what he can do.

i feel piltover and zaun should be part of the base game and not a expansion. theres alot of reasons, so much this would become a book if i wrote them but heres a reason to think on. expansions should be about one a year so what one would you pick, piltover and zaun or ionia? if they take a year for each the other will be 2 years after release and all the other regions will be another year beyond that. you really want to wait that long?

I feel you Don when you say you want the world to be big. I hope they don't attempt to connect Demacia to Noxus, but maybe instead leave room in between to expand in the future. And then have some other form of transport to allow travel from Demacia to Noxus as an example. One game I feel did this really well was Guild Wars 1. Lots of room on the map yet to explore, if they were to continue that game. Same for the second game.
