The control is better sorted than many OEM grips I've had. Thanks for the review!

Thanks i just got mine on a trade last week. I have put heated grips on all my bikes that didn't come with them. I'll be getting these thanks and a great video as well.

I can report that mine are still working perfectly after three years. Full disclosure: I live in Southern California, so I only need them for a few months out of the year. Also, we don't often get below 38f or so.

Just read your Rider magazine article about your bout with Covid-19. I had the virus in 2019 before it became widely known, now I’m double vaxxed and still having symptoms you describe in your article. Just returned to cycling this week and hopefully back on my R1100GS in March when the snow melts and vertigo spells have stopped.

Yes, I understand how frustrating that is. I think I will put together a video about riding with the long haul symptoms, and what solutions I've found to improve things. For example, I have almost completely restored my sense of smell using natural remedies. I'll throw something together soon.

So, how did these hold up after years of use?

Held up perfectly. I’m about to install another pair on my new-to-me Vespa GTS

Yeah, it's getting cold up here! Question, I have a 2021 Monkey, so I'm guessing the alternator is the same as on your Trail. Do you think the mini moto can power the grips and your Motoport heated liner at the same time? Thanks for the information and the videos.

Hi. The answer is no. The total output is 190W, and that is used mostly to run the bike (lights, fuel pump, etc. etc.) My W&S liner is 90W by itself. Gloves are usually around 40W additional. I tried it and it quickly runs the battery down. So - no. What I'm doing on the Trail is the Koso grips + battery powered heated gear, which is really good so long as you're aware of the battery life and don't plan a 12 hour ride in subfreezing temps without planning ahead. I'm currently buying some spare battery cells I throw in the trunk, and that way on long rides I'm covered.

@@MotoMouthMoshe , thanks. I'll look into the battery powered heated gear.

@@VeeDubJohn I'd suggest starting with Warm & Safe. I love their "Heat Layer Shirt" and have both 12 VDC and battery powered versions. Klim and Gerbing's make some really nice battery powered gloves.

@@MotoMouthMoshe Thank you for that. I was going to ask but didn't want to take up too much of your time. I'm also planning on doing the North East BDR or the Blue Ridge Parkway this summer on the Monkey. I want the Motoport jacket, but I also want to add and air bag vest, the Helite. In a past video, you said that was a no-go for summer. Do you have a jacket suggestion that would work in the summer with an air bag vest and provide the same or similar protection offered by the Motoport jacket? Thanks.

VeeDubJohn you can try an alpine stars tech air jacket which is a high tech version of the mechanical Helite idea, maybe. Haven’t tried one myself. I don’t wear the Helite on the Trail. At those speeds I think the Motoport alone has me covered.

I'm going to put these on my Ducati Penigale V-4, considering Ducati wants $389.00 now that they offer them for the new Pentigale V-4.
