Said it before.....I come for the person, that's you. Wish you would be less self deprecating. You are awesome just being you. Really wish you had someone in your life reinforcing the fact that you are awesome, creative, bubbly, and cool to be around. To quote Mr. Dundee....if we hung out, we would be mates. :) (in the Australian sense of the expression...lol)

Humanity has turned away from everything meaningful in this world. We are deaf to everything that matters and they're takin in but sings with man. Humanity is lost touch with humanity. We are jaded and the simple most beautiful things in this world fall on deaf ears. It is all around us but we can not see through the white noise of our own making

I cry every single time I watch this song, and that's everyday. I feel this is one of the few special songs that got the vocals, music and video spot on and it just hits you so powerfully. A great song should bring out your emotions. If it does then its just perfect. That's not to say other singers or songs aren't great but ones like this are just in a class of their own. I'm a 56 year old guy and been around music since I was 6 years old and very few have hit me with goosebumps, tears and a quivering lip and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I just showed my mum this this morning and she's 80 and wants it for her funeral when she passes in the years to come. I want it used too.

Its no trap. It doesn't matter that its metal band God works in mystery. Look at Apostle Paul or even Cyrus. If the music is uplifting to you don't fight it flow with it. For me living in USA today with demonic dems is a trap that most will fall into. The left has some wonderful ideology. The problem being in this time it will lead to genocide of certain groups like Christians first. Let your fear go rejoice in the Living Word. Amen.

Read the bible, the type of stuff that Jesus preached is what the left want.

The "Silent Raindrops" are the tears that are shed by people. If you teared up, then you got the message of the song. Watch it again with out talking.

I do love this version, but the original Simon and Garfunkel one should not be ignored... if you haven't listened to it, you should. This is a very different interpretation of the song, but is very respectful of the original, and both Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel have said very positive things about it.

It touches people in their soul. So so powerful. The original was a folk song from the 70's.

This song makes me cry every time. You are not alone. And just so you know, this is a cover, as is Mad World from Donnie Darko. I like both versions of this song, but prefer the original of Mad World, not that the cover is bad, but Tears for Fears are special to me.

It's on the soundtrack from "The Graduate" with Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft in 1967, performed by the writer of the song, Paul Simon, and his bandmate Art Garfunkel. It's a very famous song, covered hundreds of times, actually.

The song actually was part of a soundtrack, though the movie was "The Graduate" with Dustin Hoffman. The song was written and performed by Paul Simon and Arthur Garfunkle for their first album back in 1963. However, Paul Simon has been quoted saying that THIS is his favorite cover of his song.

Indeed. The original felt like a cautionary warning. This one feels like an admonition because we didn't heed the warning.

I listened to the Simon and Garfunkel version of Silence when I was a young person. Paul Simon wrote this song. However, this version moves me so much that I crank it up as loud as I can. It was also on an episode of The Black List.
