In this video I show you how I set up my Kranzle Pressure Washer. This video is not about me telling you what you should do. I am only showing you what I did so maybe you can get some ideas for yourself. I used the basic concept from Obsessed Garage and purchased most of the things from Obsessedgarage.com. I set this up for me as I do not have water run through the garage walls and I did not have hard mounts behind the sheet rock so I had to use braces on the exterior of the sheet rock to utilize the wall studs.
If you are like me and love washing your vehicles regularly this set up is a dream. It makes washing much more convenient and the pressure washer is perfect for car paint, so it does not damage anything while washing. It is also very quiet. Having it mounted in the garage is not an issue as it only runs at about 78db. The beauty of this set up is the fact that you can customize this too many different setups depending on what your situation and budget is.
Items show in video:
-Kranzle Pressure Washer (1322TS)
-Stainless Steel Shelf (Custom)
-Stainless Steel Rubber P-Clamps (various sizes)

Good stuff, thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge. How long is your Kobra Jet? Most people appear to use 100', but that seems like overkill for car washing. I'm also curious about pressure/flow loss. That said, the 100' appears to look a lot better on the reel.

I have a 100 foot hose. The reason I have that is because the pressure washer is stationary inside of the garage and in order to get the end of the hose out of the garage door to the driveway is already about 20 feet of hose so all in all I'm able to use about 75 foot of hose outside. I do have a longer driveway so I have flexibility on where I can wash a vehicle or trailer with out parking it directly in front of the garage door and then have plenty of hose to get around all sides. It's the perfect length for me but may not be necessary for everyone. I would say 75 feet of hose would be ideal for most people, but it just depends on how you use your pressure washer!

@@scottwalker19 Thanks for the prompt and detailed reply. My mounting location is very close to the garage door, so I should be able to get away with 75 (or even 50).

I dont think that is the intended way to use it. I dont think they would recommend using it that way either. Since it is controlled with a pressure switch the electronics may not allow that. I have mine mounted about 8 feet off of the ground as I have to reach over my head to switch it on at the unit. I would recommend consulting the manual on that and consider mounting it at a reasonable height to accommodate usage! Thanks!

Do you find you have flow issues where garden hose and pipe is flowing vertical up towards kranzle? I’m debating doing something similar, but my hose outlet/water bib is 2ft off the ground. And would need to flow up towards the pressure washer several feet
@scottwalker19
@scottwalker19 Жыл бұрын
Overall that should not be a problem. It is a short distance compared to how the water would flow of the walls to the second floor home. My biggest restrictor is the water filtration system. The water Hass to flow through all the filtration before it gets to the pressure washer so that may reduce the flow output. I have not tested it but I do not notice any issues with my usage. Hopefully that helps!

@scottwalker19
@scottwalker19 3 жыл бұрын
I believe that it is on a 15 amp circuit. I have not tripped the breaker with the pressure washer yet. However if you use the pressure washer and another high output item like a shop vac it does trip. I have used my pressure washer with a chemical guys foam cannon and the new PF-22 foam cannon. I did not put the smaller orfice in the foam cannon, I believe that is what causes the built up pressure and require the most amps. I could also not comment on older 15 amp circuits. My breakers are less than 10 years old. I am sure it could be a different story if you were using a breaker that was 50 years old.

Scott, what fittings were used for the 90 to the pump for water inlet? Didn't see that in your list
@scottwalker19
@scottwalker19 2 жыл бұрын
The fittings that carry the water into the pressure washer are from Home Depot. they seemed to have a much better selection of fitting vs Lowes. Not sure where you live and what's around. But I got them in the plumbing section of Lowes. Basically you need to get the 90 degree elbow and two fittings that have a garden hose fitting on one side and then FIP or whatever the other small threaded name is on the other side. It goes from one side of the elbow to the other in this manner: garden hose threads to FIP into the elbow then the other side of the elbow is FIP as well and then back to garden hose fittings.

The incoming water is between 20 and 30 using a TDS meter. I change my resin once a year. It usually gets up to 5 to 10 on the de-ionizing filter by the time I change the resin. From what I understand usually you can go up to almost 20 before water spots are more prevalent.

It sure does get warm. That motor is working hard to pump all of the water and build pressure. The water does not really cool it as far as I know.
