The Obsessed Garage Active 2.0 Pressure Washer custom install solution is an expensive, but amazing set up. The nice thing about it is that all of the logistics and parts are already worked out and you can just order the kit. It will take some effort to set up, but is no complicated for someone with basic plumbing skills.

Bro I love your setup so I'm going to steal a couple of your moves for my active 2.0 setup. Just bought a black 540I m-sport package so detailing it is my hobby. I can spend the day detailing it with my music going. lol Thanks for posting this video. Cheer's!!

Like the setup. I also use the active 2.0 but without the DI. You're a loyal fan of Matt...even sporting the 5.11 shorts. Don't see many M8's - yours is beautiful!

Thanks. Well, I was a 5.11 fan for a decade before I found Matt. Thought it was interesting when I saw him wearing them.

Great Idea on the wood patch on the stud. I’ll probably steal the idea for mine! Get yourself a little detail cart to help yourself out.

They were one of the things I loved about the car. I might like some of the other ones but I've yet to see them in person so didn't want to risk it since things can look so different in person

Awesome setup man! And beautiful M8. I just got an F97 competition in Marina Bay blue metallic and am finally getting back into serious car detailing and OG has been an invaluable source of information. I'm going the opposite route and building a detailing cart with a smaller hose reel and the active 2.0 washer and a smaller 2 stage spotless unit as our garage simply doesn't have the capacity for a nice wall mount solution. Cars with Keav has been helpful with that. Paint correction, wheel correction, polish and ceramic all over and on the wheels with PPF front bumper, headlights and a few other forward facing surfaces I feel have set me up for the best long-term protection and I've discovered has made drying the car with the ego blower and stubby nozzle SOOO much easier than my Tesla I had previously which was not ceramic coated. One thing I'd recommend you grab is a little roller stool to sit on while you clean the wheels. I picked up a little WEN roller for $35 on amazon and it's been great. My car has the 765M wheels which are WAY easier to clean than the 829M's but even still, it's a lot of bending over and scrubbing and brushing, etc. I still use the brush you mentioned that sprays water just because it can collapse so thin and get behind the calipers. I just accept that as a trade off for not having to dig back in there with my hands and a towel wrapped around a paint stirrer later.

Thanks. My friend has an F97 in MBB. Great car. And yea, much easier wheels. I have the stubby as well and wow is that thing loud in a garage! Definitely need some hearing protection for it. I ended up getting one of the small air cannons which works much better especially for the wheels as its more concentrated. I've also considered a stool for the wheels. Just a matter of whether or not I want it taking up the floor space in my garage (I know, its not a huge amount) all the time. I may consider it com spring though.

Nice setup. You could have gone with the Kranzle 1622 TS with that 15 amp circuit. I'm leaning that direction myself since I have to wash in my driveway and want to do it early in the morning in the summers and don't want to disturb the neighbors.
@SnareMan
@SnareMan Ай бұрын
I hear it draws 17amps when you put a foam cannon on it (according to Matt)

I used zip ties to secure my 2.0 to the shelf. No brackets or anything visible whatsoever.... If you flip the PW over there are several vent fins under there and are a perfect spot for a zip tie to grab onto and down through the shelf. Either way like the setup! 👍 I'll be honest, im not happy with how loud the 2.0 is. Time to save up for a Kranzle
@SnareMan

Yeah I don't have anything for reference. I'm really curious how loud it is at my neighbor's house for instance. Am I annoying them or can they not really hear it? It seems loud for me being in the garage but I don't know what it is at a distance. But either way I'm stuck with my 15 amp outlet.

Informative video, nice setup. Suggest some ear protection when using the blower. The daytona speed brush will get behind the calipers or you can pull the car up just a bit during the wash. How was the prevost piping to work with? I'm about to wall mount my active and debating on spending the money on the prevost or put something together from Home Depot.
@SnareMan
@SnareMan 3 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comments. Agree on the hearing protection. On the Daytona speed brush, how is that different/better than the ones I showed at 13:58? It seems like I'd have the same issues I mentioned? I see they make a mini one also. The Prevost pipes were easy enough to work with. No real complaints on them. I suppose you could use regular PVC piping if you didn't mind it being a little less pretty.
@johnd9272

@@SnareMan I think you were using the flat incredibrush? I've found the speed brush gets into tighter spaces. I don't like them generally because they spray the cleaner a bit when pulling them out but in a really tight situation they get between the caliper and wheel better than anything I've tried. It looks big but the bristles bend. I use the large one. I think OG sells one also ... EZ brush? Hope that helps!
@SnareMan
@SnareMan 3 ай бұрын
@@johnd9272 Yea, that was my big issue with them, when you pull them out it flicks the stuff all over you. I already have a version of it that I stopped using for that reason.

I was smarter with the sizes back when I was going though it all but with several of them I just took the pieces to Home Depot to see which pipe pieces would fit. In some cases got one of the plumbing employees to help me. There's also a schematic somewhere on the OG website with all of the sizes and parts and pieces for it all which one at least help you know which sizes you need. I forget which of the product pages it was on. But I know I got that 90 degree part from Home Depot

about 35" from the edge of the bucket filler corner over to the edge of the pipe on the left side. 37" if you include the little bit extra that the inlet hose into the Active sticks out
