It's so fascinating. I am a massive fan of krauts content and seeing this hostile rhetoric from an individual who I've come to know as calm collected and we'll researched is extremely fascinating. Because I've been down that SJW change of heart.

@@theoneduckson2312 I'm happy Kraut has shifted away from the alt-right and is making, not always perfect as far as information, but certainly very well made history videos, he's certainly not an SJW. I get the impression that he's more of a mainstream liberal conservative now. Big on free trade, several videos scarmongering about China, clearly anti-socialist. Which are all ok things to believe, people can have differing opinions, but his videos certainly aren't a-political, he's just not taking his politics and bashing the viewer on the back of the head anymore, and has definitely cooled off on the racism.

Yeah, this is massively confusing. I'm a huge Kraut fan and a huge Shaun fan and never realised there was this regrettable crossover. It's made me re-evaluate Kraut's content but my conclusion would be that Kraut doesn't believe the things he used to. Perhaps why Shaun no longer has this video up and Kraut doesn't seem to have any questionable videos up. A few of his videos are anti white nationalist and if anything, leftwards, so, I'm hoping, yay for people changing for the better.

@@andyp743 As far as I am aware his beliefs in this regard have not changed much. It's more that he finds the political commentary sphere of KZbin to be very toxic and unproductive, and wants to move away from it and his history within it. He dislikes his participation in what he now sees as a performative facade without any real value. And regrets some of his hostility and anger. His political views seem, at least the way he describes them in streams, mostly the same. He has changed his mind on some topics though like on trans rights. The reason he targeted the far-right and so-called SJWs is complex. But the community he was once part of, the skeptics, was a group of mostly liberal atheists who became very anti-feminist and anti what they saw as social justice warriors. Kraut broke from this community as it slowly began to shift further to the right. And thus he made sure to stand his ground and oppose far-right pseudoscience like race realism. He was and remains a very ardent liberal as far as his views are concerned. As a lefty I wondered if he had tacitly shifted to the left before looking into this further, but he has detailed in live streams what he thinks of his old content and what his views are now. And I can pretty confidently say he has not shifted to become more left-wing.
