This is really great. I know you can't learn Krav Maga on the Internet but if you train somewhere like me, these videos can be really helpful. My instructors don't explain nearly as much as you do :) Keep up the good work.

Get a new instructor, they should. They should also encourage you to ask questions and try out different approaches and ideas based on what you are being taught. This is how you learn.

good tips. from someone that's been stabbed, it's good to have at least a frame of reference to on. I was lucky enough to disarm the aggressor and hold him until the 5-0 showed up, but he literally just missed the blood pipe in my leg. talk about an adrenaline rush.

It would've been nice if you explained at 7:20 what would you do if you can't throw your attacker to the ground (for example he's too big/heavy to carry). Otherwise good tutorial vid, I'm looking forward to part 3. :)

This is great stuff. He's essentially performing a 2-on-1, from MMA/wrestling speak. You control the wrist and upper arm, adjacent to the shoulder with both hands, then attack, attack, attack/disarm the knife. Saw that highlighted in another knife defense video. One thing I haven't heard them say in this is be prepared to get stabbed or sliced. This is not the movies. The attacker may slice your arm or stab you and you won't even realize it until after you have disarmed the attacker. I recall in this same video I watched -- don't remember the name of it -- where the guy teaching it said that he got stabbed/slashed 10 times and didn't even realize until after he fought off and disarmed the attacker. I guess that's why the idea is to survive. Nobody ever said you'll get away unscathed.

*QUESTION:* *Often stabbings happen in your own home, as a result of quarrels between husband and wife, or between family members.* *Perhaps you think you can run like Usain Bolt, if you are in a corner of your kitchen? A lot of women die this way, and their killers are not ninja warriors, think about it.*

KRAV MAGA TRAINING that's why I think it's a great idea for people to train in a safe realistic fast pace. Almost like the equivalent of slap boxing because the truth is all attacks are improvised and random. I like the videos on this channel for sure. This is a good demonstration of proper movement to control the situation.

I'm not convinced by the last technique- it seems quite complicated: blocking/couterstricking, grabing the attackers wrist, passing him round the back and throwing...A lot things to do. Are you guys sure this is the most effective way in a scenario like this? I know KravMaga is a creative system- could you propose another solution to the stab/grab by the neck problem? I really like the way you teach.

My only critique would be the last technique where he is holding the guys wrist with one hand. I used to think you could actually do that, but really all he has to do is pull his arm away in the opposite direction and the guy won't be able to hold on because he's already extended his arm almost entirely, and the guy with the knife has full range of movement to pull his arm back.

Complimenti. Giustamente il video mostra come difendersi, ovvero SOPRAVVIVERE a un attacco di coltello, cercando di limitare i danni. Non significa che si ha la certezza di uscirne incolume. L'istruttore lo ha precisato chiaramente.

In fact: It is impossible to learn "Anti Knife Self Defense" bec its impossible to learn moves against every attack possible. Maybe you can learn a few moves that give you a small chance, against a few maybe common movements from a knife attacker but bec the knifeman can do nearly EVERY move with his knife (stabs, slashes, many many angles and on different speed, using his other hand for defense, disturbing, clearing, holding, punching etc, and he can kick, knee, headbutt etc) and body. And in reality everything is possible. Maybe its a not serious move with the knife (only threaten, or light stabs/slashes bec the opponent is scared to hurt you badly too, hes uneducated and moves really stupid so a good anti knife training can really help), maybe a fast and hard kick to the lower body can end the situation, or up to a knife attack by a hidden blade you cant see, or against a crazy guy on drugs, or in worst case against a knifeman and his friends/cousins. In a Dojo you only can "play" antiknife moves bec its not cool to get slashed or stabbed by real knifes in a Dojo, and of course you cant give big destroying power in your moves like you will do in a real stressed and dangerous situation. Anti Knife is the most difficult and most full-of-lies segment in Martial Arts and Self Defense. So i say: Before teaching or learning Anti Knife just search the internet about REAL Knife attacks, real knife wounds and then think twice about this theme. But the good news: Less than 0,01 % of all people, incl Martial Art teachers ever had a serious knife attack in their life. If you live an ordinary life its nearly unthinkable to be in a real dangerous situation. To live in a bad hood, a brawlers gang or to be a doorkeeper isnt a normal life.

These techniques are last ditch efforts so that you may survive long enough to get your weapon out or escape if you have the luxury "maybe". You should not be involved in a knife fight on purpose unless you are cornered and have no more ammo for your pistola.

Remember: Always catch the hand with the knife - "the wrist". Depense, but priority is always to disarm the wrist and to twist the wrist - the attacker to drop the knife or you take it

Also at 5:00, when you have your attacker in that position take your elbow and hit them where the joint is and thrust their arm up at the same time. This'll create a strain on their arm and if you do it hard enough you could possibly dislocate his arm

@@cassiohenrique6815 exactly, it's called muscle memory for your body and reflexes and sharper instincts for your mind. Of course Krav Maga is not a guarantee by any stretch of the imagination, but having some training is far better than none at all and certainly will teach you a lot of very valuable things. In the first place how to actually avoid any fight, dangerous places, people and situations which is enough to save your ass 90% of the times. And it will also teach you how to avoid these kind of attacks should you really have nowhere to escape or run and it's a fight for your life.
