@@globalincident694 no specific reason that I can think of. The contract for allowing Sony Pictures to continue to hold the Spiderman intellectual property for film is dependent on them making a new film within their Spiderman IP collection once every term of their contract (which I've heard works out to some odd number like "5 years and 9 months" or something like that), and yet somehow, despite the broad IP rights afforded to them in this contract years ago when Marvel films were still just testing the big screen to see if anyone was interested, the people in charge are remarkably effective at hiring film producers and directors and writers who are unable to understand and tell a story about what made the characters interesting to the original audience. Their consistency is impressive. Now I'm wondering if their film crews consist of a lot of "half fans", if you will, artists who want make the production their own thing and only take inspiration from the source material and not reproduce it, people who know enough of the source material to be interested, but not enough (or maybe don't respect, or both) the source material enough to tell one of those interesting stories. So, no specific reason. Just a whole lot of not having the right people. That's my current opinion

My favorite part was when Kraven yelled “it’s huntin’ time”, then hunted all over the place and became a Hunter. Truly a moment of the movie.

Oh, I thought it was when he said "it's Kravin' time" and then Krave all over the place

Oh Oh, I thought it was a when he said “It’s ‘Ven time” then he and Vin Diesel went on an adventure together thereby completing the Fast and Furious multiverse

No no no. Kraven is a K.D. Lang fan so he said "I'm constantly Kraven" then he kraved all over the place. Truly one of the moments.

If you have a "Hey shut up." and a "Super easy barely an inconvenience." in the first minute of the pitch meeting you might have written a bad movie.

VENOM had the writer from 50 SHADES OF GREY (who is also directing THE LAST DANCE) MORBIUS had the writers from GODS OF EGYPT (Who are also behind MADAME WEB) And KRAVEN THE HUNTER has the writers from TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT AVI ARAD ruined everything again And he isn't even involved in MADAME WEB But he is behind BORDERLANDS, though

This makes me wonder about how many chances they should give writers...

It really does feel like Sony saw a pitch meeting way back, and thought to themselves "we are going to make all of our movies specifically for great Pitch Meeting's".
@tjm110154 сағат бұрын
Oh, this should be good... Thanks for doing Pitch Meetings for all the movies I will never see 👀 In 5 minutes, you delivered more entertainment than the MCU in the last 5 years😒

I feel like Sony is doing this deliberately at this point. I don’t think they want these films to make money because it somehow benefits them to write them off as a loss, so they just keep casting actors that no one particularly likes in films with terrible scripts. Then they get to keep the rights to Spider-Man while not actually making any good movies.

Stopped going to theaters when it became 40 dollars for one person to view a worse than adequate product in an empty room. This is WAY better, and I can have booze, and not pay money, so I don't see a downside!
