In this video I'll take a look at the Kreg K5 Jig as well as some other Kreg jigs I use. As a bonus, I'll also make a simple picture frame with the Kreg K5 Jig. If you want more pictures and a description on how I made this, check out my site over at: www.woodlogger.com/

Instant sub and like! What's different about your review after watching several other videos (around 10) on this particular product is that you take us through it step by step to show us how all of the features work. Very much appreciated!

Re; the picture frame. I know the measurements are vital and there's some sort of formula to make sure you get them right so that after cutting the rabbets, the picture fits perfectly. Do you know how to figure out the correct measurements? I want to make a frame for a 19x24 canvas painting using my Kreg 5 jig, and I can't find the formula to do it right. Thanks for reviewing some of the accessories you can use. It's very helpful.

If your 19 x 24 is the inside measurement - measure 19" and use a 45-degree angle to angle outward (making your cut will enlarge the outside measurement) and it will measure the outside edge itself. If the 19" is your outside edge use the 45 degree angle going inward (making a cut smaller than your original 19") and again it will measure itself so you don't need a formula. You can also make yourself a jig - by cutting a perfect square, mitering that 45 degrees and using the cut piece as a template, however if you just want that formula - you need to know the laws of triangles and the Pythagorean theorem to understand it. Without giving a geometry class - here's how it works out. Using the smaller edge of your angled piece (inside measurement of your frame) and multiply it by 1.4142135 = how much bigger your outside edge will be using a 45-degree angle. Using the larger edge of your angled piece (outside measurement) and divide it by 1.4142135 = how much smaller your inside edge will be using a 45-degree angle.

Четверть умнее выбрать до сборки фрезой, а не потом ровнять стамеской, вероятно.

I think I'll just go to Hobby Lobby to buy a frame.
