The part I don't understand about this is how you say calling it EDM is a stretch. I don't see how it being lyrically driven takes away from the fact that it's still a very electronic album.

If anything it adds way more power to the music since it gives context to the melody and sound. Krewella has amazing vocals and their lyrics while sometimes cheesy still pack a nice nostalgia feeling to them! I agree with you.

I like this album far more than I thought I would. Some seriously characterful vocal performances, decent amount of meh instrumentals no doubt but I think the vocals really carry it through, most of them are crafted so effectively on an emotional level. Title track is my favourite track of the year so far, all kinds of electronic music considered. And you’ll know that’s quite something for me to say!

Why is it that Krewella and Pegboard Nerds go so well together. Seriously when they collab together they have made some incredible and Iconic tracks. From This is not the End, Superstar, etc. and let’s not forget Pegboard Remix of Live for the Night and Alive. Still one of my favorite Dubstep remixes. Great review btw!

Hey Landon! I'm curious if your opinion on No Future has shifted at all? I at first didn't love it but I feel like that's a good thing since it means it's unique and different than other music I've heard so it took a few listens to understand it. I feel like it's definitely grown on me a lot, especially after getting the vinyl and reading all the lyrics in the book.
