Ive been watching a few of your videos, and as an avid home mechanic myself, though your videos aren't technical by any means, just seeing how one person does things first person is the worlds help speeding up the process. I appreciate the hell outta you, you may not have a ton of viewers and subscribers yet, but I hope you continue to spread what should be common knowledge of all is riders and enthusiasts. Lean on your trusted professional mechanic as needed lol.

Semi-pro tip; if you're not worried about ink residue, you can use a fine tipped felt pen to draw out on the case where your gasket needs to be laid. That way you can erase and correct the ink letting you get one continuous (as possible) bead of gasket.

How did you get the main shaft to slide out of the side? I can't get mine to pop out. Thanks
@djtiggerho04204 жыл бұрын
You have to find bolts to put into threaded holes, 6mm I think. Tighten them up evenly and the lower gears will come right out😎
@ThatBikerDude4 жыл бұрын
@@djtiggerho0420 thanks. You can just use the same screws that hold it in place.

Is there a need to take out the magnet to get into the gearbox ?
@Gypsyman406 жыл бұрын
Mateusz yes, because you have to get under it to split the case

Thank you for the quick reply. Did you use this toolPivot Shaft Wrench 90890-0151 to removal and installing the engine ?
@Gypsyman406 жыл бұрын
Mateusz no... You don't need that special tool to remove the engine. It was as simple as using a jack to support the engine, take off bolts and pinch bolt. The engine will slide right out.

Gypsyman Racing thanks man love the vid. Im doing a transmission rebuild on my 04 yzf r6. Any tips?
@Gypsyman407 жыл бұрын
Victor Lugo make sure you find a good transmission on ebay. Look at the pics carefully. Torque everything. Buy Yama bond (gray). Take your time and use good tools.
