🌹Ohh wow, I have loved this song since I was a preteen. My eldest Sister received a 12-string for her 18th birthday and the first song she learned to play was "Me And Bobby McGee" and she taught me to play it when I was 12 years old (I fit in the case). That beautiful Sister was taken by brain cancer (within 9 months of being diagnosed) 7 years ago and I would trade all my tommorows for one single yesterday just to hear her play and sing "Me And Bobby McGee" again. Agree with you on that. I think Russell's voice is better quality than Kris'. Kris is good with other singers or in duets (for example with Rita Coolidge "Help me make it through the night"). He is marvelous song writer, as a solo singer not my favorite. But it's just my opinion.

Russel used to(or still has) have band and play and sing as a hobby,just like many more actors;J.Deep,B.Willis,J.Renner and many more.They are multi talented people.I'm not a musician myself and not sure if this is true what I was told but the way they singing is co call "actors sing voice"apparently different from "normal"singing voice.

He knows how to put his voice forth, has good timbre that resonate well andvuses all palette of sound colors plus clear articulation. You are right when you say Kris is a genius. He comes from a military family. He is a Rhoades "sp" scholar. Left the military went on to Oxford in England major was literature. Family disowned him for leaving the military. Flew helicopters for a living for a while. Went to Nashville worked as a janitor on music row. Landed a helicopter on Johnny cash's property. Girlfriend and I took a road trip in 72. Ended up in Nashville. Spent an evening with kris and Rita at David allen coe's apartment. They were the nicest down to earth people you could meet. Kris is very kind and respectful and very funny. Had his guitar and we all sang. My friend and I drove them to the King of the Road hotel where they were staying. What a night. Those were the days.

I’ve heard Kris sing for years , but this is the first time I’ve heard Russel sing , and he’s pretty cool .

Is there no end to their talent? I can’t sing, dance nor act. These guys have all that and probably much more.
